New restaurant with a mix of dim sum options as well as Hong Kong style Cafe items. We had salted fish chicken fried rice, swirl egg beef on thick noodles, baked pork chop on rice and dim sum steamed chicken feet. The food was good, not too salty or oily. One of our servers was still in training and still getting their system together. We will try their French toast next time it is supposed to be their specialty.
Another great “HK style” restaurant in Richmond. Two female servers were both attentive and friendly. Have no idea what some of the bad reviews were all about. Food came out fast. We were there for 2.5hrs and didn’t feel rushed. Atmosphere was quiet enough that we could carry a conversation across the table. Dishes were tasty and lunch size for the lunch time menu. Each dish were perfect for 1 adult. All the items came with hot drinks. Big menu selections. Have to give a shout out to the Pineapple Bun. It was just as good as Lido. Crusty top and lightly toasted with a slabs of butter. A must have for dessert. The additional plus for this place is that they take credit cards.
Came here June 2022. We ordered 4 dishes and 3 bowls of rice. All the food was very good and full of MSG and oil. The only thing that wasn't as good was the black bean spareribs with bitter melon. There was barely any bitter melon but lots of onion and a normal amount of spareribs. Authentic tasting and had good "wok hay" that my Uncle Roger approves of. Service was average. Had to ask them to fill tea as they didn't have it automatically. There was also very little AC, ceilings are low; so it was stuffy and hot. They have two AC units on the wall only of which one was running. When I asked them to turn up the AC, they said the second unit was just installed and not operational yet. Definitely a lie since it's an old unit and I've seen it there before.
This place is a gem! Our waitress was fast and Friendly. She was also very helpful, from kindly rushing a single order because our baby was being a bit fussy, to making some great menu suggestions. The food was cooked wonderfully, and well seasoned. Prices were very reasonable as well. Will be going back
Attentive and caring wait staff. The environment is pretty good compared to other HK style cafes. Food is decent and slightly higher than competitors. Got the mixed grill which includes soup and hot drink. Chicken steak was cooked perfectly. Spam was over cooked but crispy. Spaghetti dressed nicely and the gravy was industrial as expected. Solid choice.
An average HK style restaurant. Ordered a couple rice noodle bowls, the mix grilled set and the French toast. Food was ok. Nothing really stood out and quite pricey for what you get. Decor was nice and service was great.
Decent HK style restaurant. Food is served on gold lined plates/silver cutlery/bamboo basket and looks very appealing. Taste and portion size are both standard. Floors and booth seats could probably do with a little cleaning. I think they deserve a second try maybe later in the future. I am sure it is very difficult starting out during COVID times. Good luck!
Heard of this place from FB group months ago. Finally have a chance to try their food. We ordered club house sandwich and made to order black bean fry beef with rice noodle. They are both great Hot drink we tried HK Style milk tea and teaffee. The overall experience brought back my memory in HK local tea house.
Been here a couple of times and it’s definitely a hit or miss. The fried rice was good and a decent portion but the baked tomato pork chop rice was bad. There was zero tomato flavour and the sauce resembled more of a gravy. It tasted nothing like the baked pork chop rice you find at other HK style restaurants. The french toast was interesting but I wouldn’t get it again. Overall, this place is ok, just depends on what you order…
I was hesitant to go there after reading few reviews. But I had a great meal with wonderful service. I had fried rice with chicken and salted fish, Clams with black bean sauce. I forgot the desart. But it was different. Not very sweat. Well maintained. Just one suggestions. Please print some new menu cards. The menu cards doesn’t go with the food or the decorations of your restaurant. Thank you very much.
