Hansel and Gretel Bakery

Adding this lovely bakery to our list of day off places we go to satisfy any spontaneous sweet cravings. We went in searching for a loaf of sourdough to have with a charcuterie for dinner, and an older gentleman customer was just behind us. I asked the gentleman to ahead of us as he expressed some urgency. The customer says to the baker behind the very approachable display of some darn good looking baked goods, says, “If you told me how good the oatmeal raisin cookies were, I would’ve just bought more to begin with!” We took home a slice of orange ginger loaf compliments of the baker, a peanut butter cup, cream cheese frosting cinnamon roll, ginger molasses cookie, peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. The cookies are serious. The peanut butter cup is choice. Everything we had was a delight. Thank you for your gracious hospitality and welcoming us into your bakery.

How do they do it?! The size and quality of the baked goods is well above average, and the price is certainly good! A happy surprise; we were hunting for donuts and stumbled on this bakery and it more than satisfied us—took a full box home for the family! Beware, the m&m cookie is loaded with chocolate.

Thank you for the most rich vegan cake!! I didn’t know there was anywhere in maple ridge that could do a vegan cake so well. It was perfectly made, they are so good at what they do here

Checked out this bakery to find a ready made cake for my husband's birthday. None of the flavours available at the time were quite what I was after, so they offered to make a flavour of my choosing for pickup later that same day! Not only was I very impressed with the customer service, but the cake itself was excellent. It was more beautiful than I had anticipated, and the taste was wonderful. I was especially happy that they used fresh lemon curd in the filling. It was very well balanced and I would order from them again in the future!

Searched online for a bakery that would deliver. Hansel and Gretel was the first to pop up. Ordered cupcakes to be delivered as a surprise for someone. Claudia was amazing. The communication, friendliness was great. The receiver of the cupcakes also loved the presentation and flavours. I will definitely be ordering from there again. Thank you for the great experience!

Amazing bakery staffed by amazing people. Besides frequenting it for their delicious macarons we ordered all our wedding cupcakes from here and they did a wonderful job matching them to our bright blue and purple wedding colours.

my daughter used this bakery for her wedding and honestly it's the best cake I've ever had. They were professional, great prices, courteous, reliable, had vegan options and damn delish! we will continue to recommend this bakery going further. great job guy everyone raved about the cake. I ate it for breakfast the next day also!

Our Wedding cake was absolutely amazing, could not be happier with how it turned out. We had 3 tiers and each tier was a different flavour; our guests loved this almost as much as we did.

Went to Hansel and Gretel Bakery before on a trip to Cliff Falls. We loved it so had to come again. Very friendly service. Last time we thought the muffins, although they looked sweet with the glaze, were actually not overly sweet. This trip we got two chocolate cupcakes and two muffins Strawberry Shortcake and Coffee Crumble. Price-wise, I found the cupcakes to be out of line with the other items. Curious as to why so expensive. I didn’t try them but I can say the muffins were delicious and great value. Apart from two savoury options, the rest were sweet. Next time we will try the cookies Ginger Molasses and Bird's Nest looked wonderful and loaves. Daniel

Best bakery in the LML. All our guests were so impressed with the cake and dessert. We had a professional chef who works for a luxury hotel in attendance and who doesn’t have a sweet tooth, but he was pleasantly surprised with the texture of the cakes, the taste, and how delicious the desserts turned out. There was nothing left of our wedding cake and desserts. Thank you, Claudia. You’re such an awesome pastry chef and owner. Hansel and Gretel is definitely our go to bakery and confectionery.
