Hanpan Korean Restaurant

This new Korean restaurant has left the best impressions!! Staffs are so welcoming and friendly. Wide selection of foods. Everything I ordered was so tasty. Amazing foods and great service! Love this place and will continue to visit. Highly recommended.

Update: We went a second time to Hanpan for a birthday dinner. When we arrived, we dropped off a birthday cake for after dinner to a server. We ordered a variety of foods from fried chicken, to stir fry chicken platter with melted cheese, to seafood pancake, etc. We all enjoyed our dinner and service was great! The highlight was the owner told the whole restaurant that we were celebrating a birthday. So he turned off most the lights, rolled out our cake that he put a tall candle on, and rolled it out on a dining cart while getting everyone to sing Happy Birthday! So great! It happened again to the table beside us as they had a birthday as well! Great time, great food and great job team at Hanpan! Original: We popped in for a quick lunch. The service was fast and the food was good. We had the pork backbone soup, boiled beef brisket with side dishes. The soup was good and it was loaded with a lot of backbones...so we felt it was good value. We will definitely be back to try more menu items.

I don't understand why there's so much hate against this restaurant. A lot of people are comparing with a restaurant that only exists in their minds now. Never been to the previous establishment but I've been to many other different Korean restaurants. This one is definitely one of the better ones in Metro Vancouver. It offers a wide variety of food and does it decently. Of course there are better tasting restaurants when comparing certain items e.g. Pelicana does fried chicken better. Price wise I feel it is on par with other restaurants. Service was very friendly and courteous. Food came quickly. Enjoyed the complimentary yogurt drink at the end. Kid-friendliness: Kids meals available.

This restaurant is the same chain as Mr Bro which is half a block away. The food from Mr Bro is way better than this place. The food here looks better than they tastes. I would rather go to Mr Bro. The spicy pork backbone with cheese was horrible. It's like they used the stewed backbone from the pork bone soup, put on some sauce, and threw on some cheese. It was dry , tough, and flavorless. The rest of the stuff was meh...

Ever since the new owners took over the former hanok, the quality of food has improved significantly. They even brought back the beloved lunch specials that are a real value. I’ve been bringing many friends here and they all loved it so far. One of my favourites for Korean food in central Richmond area. Cash & Debit only would be my only knock. Wish credit cards were accepted, then I might frequent it more. Lunch Specials L8 &L9 are a must try. Same with their kimchi stew and bossam.

Coming from Victoria, this restaurant is really nice. The food was good quality, and I especially liked the fried chicken. The marinated prime rib was a bit too sweet for me, but it was still an overall great experience. Planning on coming here the next time I visit Richmond.

Could be better. We ordered the pork with bean sprouts but there was shockingly little egg and cheese like 1mm thick film for egg once cooked. Hopefully, the restaurant can reconsider the amount since it looks a little awkward for the eater. Flavour was great though. Was super looking forward to the rose tteokbokki but it was very soft and the half-order portion is small for it's price. Overall it's just...ok.

It’s changed!! With the new management, all the menu items and dishes got overhauled. Now it is Korean Restaurant! Well balanced taste and portion size for the money you pay. Highly recommended

Food was good. Service was okay. No one stopped by to refill our tea or really checked up on us. I would recommend the fried chicken and peach juice. Others items were good, but I don’t think I would get it again to be honest.

This place serves the authentic Korean bbq. I’ve been to so many Korean bbq restaurants but this place is the legit! Foods are delicious and fresh. Great service. I will def come back for more
