I would like to thank all my Nurses and Doctors at this hospital for saving my life after being admitted after having a heart attack and triple bypass. I stayed there for three weeks, the staff were very supportive. I will recommend this hospital any day if ever needed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I’ve had a few positive experiences here which is why I have 3 stars instead of one star. but recently had a very abrasive doctor that was very unprofessional and rude. She talked so fast I couldn’t follow what she was saying easily. She interrupted me before I could finish my sentences when I tried to answer her questions and she seemed to assume I was going to demands things that I was not there for such as tamaflu and a chest xray. She ‘professionally’ called my family doctor an idiot not in those exact words. And just generally made me feel like I was a terrible person for coming in and not bleeding out on the floor right in front of her face. So I was really disappointed after having some really nice experiences here. I understand they are busy but you’ve got to slow down and remember your patients are people.
This hospital has treated me very well when I had surgery.nnThey also saved my aunt's life when she had a kidney stone and went septic.nnI read all these people giving low ratings and they're always people at the emergency department who feel they're not seen fast enough. I've seen firsthand the level of service received by people in dire states and I say if you have been waiting that long perhaps you're not that serious and perhaps you should say a prayer for those people that have gone in before you.nnI get it, nobody wants to sit around when they're sick but be grateful you can.
It's hard to rate a medical institution because it's not a place that you go because you want to be there. I've been to the infirmary for emergency services three times and each time has been a positive experience overall - as positive as it can be to go to a hospital. It's obvious that they triage based on priority and because other patients don't know why you're there, it may not look like you're a priority, even if you are. So I understand that some people feel that they were there longer than they needed to be, but they don't know what others are going through.nnFor me I was diagnosed with cancer after a long wait, but I'm grateful that they were careful and cautious with testing and got the right results early.nnEvery person I've interacted with at the hospital has been helpful, compassionate, kind, and genuine in their desire to help others.nnI am grateful for others being willing to make positive impacts for us all and dedicate so much of their life to making things better for others.
Absolutely the most pathetic excuse of a hospital. Our father has been in there for a week now waiting for surgery. He is told one minute he is going on, and then told he can not eat. 6 hours later he is told he is not going in, and left without food. We have had to called 3 and 4 times everyday for updates, and asked the nurses to call when they had updates, but have not received one call yet. With true understanding of the short staff, and workload they have, it is no excuse on the neglect of keeping a family informed. Very disheartening.
