Halibut House Fish and Chips

I had the haddock with chips. It was quite good but i do think the value of money is not worth. Maybe i need to try more things from here. So far it has been an okay experience. Looking for recommendations on what to try!

We expected that a restaurant with the name Halibut House would specialize in fish and chips. We were disappointed. Both the halibut and chips appeared to be of the frozen variety. Certainly edible but we won’t be back.

Their fish is great. Onion rings also suberb. Fries are thick and almost none are crunchy, some people might like that. My issue is I ordered something non fish for once. The chicken wings. Each bite tasted of fish. They must use the same oil as their fish with their wings, every single bite had a strong fish aftertaste. Obviously its a fishplace, but when someone orders meat it shouldn't be cooked in the same stuff or place without cleaning.

Went there for an early dinner on Monday. Staff were very friendly and it was very clean. The portions were big! Grilled halibut was delicious. Tons of crispy fries and the Greek salad dressing was tasty. The others said the battered fish was very good too. Lots of leftovers for the air fryer.

Best cod and chips ever. Coleslaw was fresh. No vinegar taste. Restaurant very clean. Service was good and waitress very cheery. We'll definitely return and looking forward to it.

Stopped in on our way home from the beach. We each ordered the seafood platter. Portions were huge. So delicious and fresh. Super friendly staff. Nice and clean inside.

We did take out tonight and it was delicious. Staff were terrific and did social distancing well. Portion sizes were great.

The service was excellent, the food was delicious with huge portions. I will definitely go back. My only issue was the side of little gravy cost $3 each which is expensive.
