One of those "typical" hidden gems of London. You know, those places, that hasn't got a big name nor famous, but the staff is making the food with heart and soul. The place is clean, and although I can't see in the kitchen, there is a proof of 5* EHO visit on the door, the portion is huge for £5. Yes, you read that right. £5 for an amazing, tasty and nicely portioned full english breakkie IN LONDON. They have several choices from the basics to the more special ones. I like to go for the liver, it did taste really nice, and it was fresh off the grill. If you are visiting Charing X hospital make sure to pop by, it's just next to the A&E entrance.
Love this place. Amazing atmosphere, amazing food. Cheap as chips are chips still cheap I added black pudding to my brekkie, but all this is 7 quid!!!
Small but very confortable and familiar all day meals place, close to Hammersmith station. Good food, good service Kid-friendliness: Lugar familiar
You get all this for £8.70 - portion sizes are huge. Small town vibe in a big city. 5*Food: 5/5
Welcoming staff, efficient service, nicely cooked food, proper door step bread, very reasonable prices what's there not to like? Well actually the toilet, fortunately I didn't have to eat down there, but it has affected my overall experience. Nice cafe smelly lav.
This is a proper caff, full of blokes in overalls having breakfast. Best egg and bacon sandwich for miles. Lots of choice, rapid service, very clean and tidy. Excellent value for money.
There are not many of these types of cafe's left in London. Good simple food fast service. Excellent value for money. The all day breakfast is highly recommended.Food: 4/5
One of those things, ended up needing something to eat after my Sister had an appointment at the nearby Charing Cross Hospital. Having noticed the Half Moon Cafe on the way, we decided to try it afterwards. So pleased that we did. Seating inside is tables of four places on both sides of a central aisle towards the counter. Weather dependant, seating is also provided outside the front door next to the pavement. Sunny with a cool wind today February 2023. These places are used for people smoking which is not allowed illegal inside. Check the menu photographs out. Surely there must be something that you would eat :-. On arrival, go up to the counter, make your choices, pay and take a seat. Items are brought to the table by staff. Choices for us were a full breakfast and a slightly smaller one, accompanied by tea in mugs and buttered toast. There was a delay in getting ours but this simply proved that orders are cooked fresh to order so very acceptable. Portion size was large, with the food piping hot. For the two of us, with meals and two teas, the bill came in under £ 20. Excellent value. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall, a very good experience and one that we shall repeat in the future. Vegetarian options: As on the menu board a range of options are offered. Key point, just ask to make sure they can do what you want / need. Kid-friendliness: As we were eating around 1030am there were no children in but menu options showed that they are provided for. Parking: Being on the main route Charing Cross Road between Putney to the South and Hammersmith to the North and the proximity to both Charing Cross Hospital and a large primary school, paid parking is on the street and monitored / enforced by the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. Local residents have to pay for parking permits so other spaces for parking may be very limited. Bus stops are quite close. Wheelchair accessibility: Level access from the pavement inside so fairly easy. Might well require an adjustment of tables to accommodate a wheelchair. Dietary restrictions: As on the menu board a range of options are offered. Key point, just ask to make sure they can do what you want / need.
Don’t even think about going to star cafe up the road. We nearly made that mistake. Honestly our day was nearly ruined. Luckily for us we went with the Google reviews and boy am I glad we did. Just delicious breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff and and a lovely atmosphere.
This place has the best breakfast I’ve had in London yet! Very friendly staff when waking in and ordering. The food showed up quickly both times I’ve been there so far and was incredible. I plan on making frequent stops here in the coming mornings.
