Came in for just a quick coffee and dessert, server on site was friendly and knowledgeable, the Mango Key Lime Cheesecake was to die for, the Tiramisu also wonderful and the Cappuccino prepared beautifully. We arrived at a quiet period so unsure what it's like when it's peak hours. Definitely would return to try more goodies, they even serve Black Cake here for any Caribbean folks reading this review.
Incredible service with extremely large portioned sundae desserts. Please see the picture of my half- eaten sundae for reference. The owner was welcoming and warm. Service was quick, and everything was quality. Will come back. 10/10.
Went to this cute cafe after finding out they serve hand-slaughtered halal food! They had changed their name but are still halal! We were super excited as there are no other food options in the mall. We had ordered the Chicken Tacos, Butter chicken Poutine and Pesto chicken pizza! The food was great and the customer service was excellent! We were too full to try the desserts but it was what other customers were coming here for! Definitely will stop by again to try the desserts.
Mmmm . . . Lunch today was a slice of delicious Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake!! My server was friendly and service was prompt. I had an opportunity to speak with the lovely owner of this establishment. I will return the next time I am in Pickering and try the Crab Cakes.
This review is solely based on the food and customer service. I ordered a latte with almond milk, what i got wasnt latte. Maybe they didn't know how to make a latte? Maybe consider having other dairy free milk options if almond milk doesnt steam well? Just a suggestion. The red velvet cake I got was dried out in some areas. Couldn't even finish what I purchased. Was not worth the $30 spent. My friend hated her cannoli. The only reason I'm giving it two stars was because the girl working there was really nice.
Hi there Samantha, In 2023 when you complain saying “server” is enough there is no need to refer to me by my colour that black girl. I am the server who served you and your friends. I am sorry you think I forced you to pay for a bottle of water that you not only opened but had half of. However when you and your friends placed your order of 2 lattes and a water you did not specify that you wanted tap when I repeated it back to you. Furthermore you said the specialty lattes I made you was over priced and nothing special, I saw that you enjoyed them throughly. Of course We are not Starbucks we are a full service restaurant,that is why like you complained me the BLACK girl served you.
Amazing desserts in town. Really love the desserts here they are worth trying. They really have amazing variety of desserts.I have tried their dessert- I Wanna Be A Cowboy : White Chocolate Ice cream, Apple Compote Cinnamon & Caramel Sauce with homemade Ginger Beer …a perfect dessert to end your day.Along with the fact that they have a huge range of options to satisfy for cravings.Worth a try again and again….top notch customer service..
I was just reading the reviews and am floored at the negative review less than 24 hours ago. To wish this business to close down is pretty extreme. Guess you should have prepaid for the cake you wanted. As always Cafe Ro exceeded my expectations! Ordered my cheesecake for Christmas and picked up Christmas Eve. I prepaid to have my cake on hold to pick up. Everything closes early on Christmas Eve and Cafe Ro was willing to stay open even in the terrible weather for those that prepaid. There’s a reason that Cafe Ro has so many excellent reviews including mine. I personally would have called before going there and let the staff know I was coming and would they still be open. That’s just me. I’ve met the owner and she’s a wonderful woman at heart always, always going the extra mile for people. Waiting until the last minute and I can be a procrastinator but it usually never goes my way when I do that.
I simply cannot resist sharing my delightful experience about this Halal cafe. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The warm and cozy atmosphere, paired with friendly and efficient staff, made me feel right at home. The star of the show was undoubtedly their roasted beef sandwich and the meatballs sandwich. Their dessert selection is equally impressive, and the coffee is great!
What a warm and welcoming environment! The crab cakes are amazing. I will definitely be visiting Cafe Ro again.
