Haldi East Indian Cuisine

Butter chicken was good! A little on the sweeter side but yummy. Also ordered a lamb spicy dish and it was ok. The rice was good. Naan bread was pretty good. Atmosphere was a bit lacking. It was warm inside and there werent many people there. Decor was nice, service was good.

A few vegetarian options. The appetizers were quite small for the price. I liked the paneer massala the best. The gulab jamun desserts are delicious.

It was our first time at Haldi's but it won't be our last. The food was authentic Indian cuisine, fresh and flavorful. It's a small restaurant tastefully decorated. Service was great thanks to Fatima. We had chicken korma, chicken tiki masala, saag paneer and naan bread.

Love that restaurant! The chicken curry is absolutely delicious! I asked for very mild and it was! Yay! My boyfriend, who is nuts about spicy food, was for the first time, very very happy with is meal as well he had vindaloo lamb. Great service as well!! I definitely recommend!!

The best Indian cuisine in Ottawa. The blends of flavours and spices are incredible. On top of that, the service is super friendly, even when I just do pick up orders.

This gem of a place has been around for 5 years and I am ashamed to admit, this was my first visit. That said - it won’t be my last! The food what we ordered was delicious and more than enough to satisfy 4 people. There were leftovers! On top of the great food, the service was attentive and friendly!

Don’t listen to the bad reviews lol, I never write reviews but this place deserves it. Me and my fiancée went here on a date and exceeded our expectations. Incredible food, great service, we really felt at home. I’d recommend this place every time! The waitress introduced herself and had a great conversation. A little warm inside is my only complaint, but I’m a big guy and like the cool climate.

I was really excited to eat here because I love Indian food and it was hard to find any Indian food in Ottawa. When I got here, it smelled good and the house where the restaurant is located is super cute. However, they did not have any of my favourite dishes on the menu, and when I finally found something I could order, it was not at all what I expected... bland and flavorless. The waitress tried to change it to something else, but it was the same problem.

One of my favourite places in Ottawa to get Indian food. The butter chicken is to die for, and the naan bread is the best in the city.

Chef is very kind and makes phenomenal food. Runs a tight ship on the weekdays when it’s just him working - he works fast! Will be back to try out dine in.
