Hakone Sushi Bar

The sushi is very tasty and the presentation is really good. Really good value for money. Most of all, the service is amazing! I will be coming back to this place again.

If you're looking for some good Japanese food at an affordable price, Hakone Sushi is a great option. They have a lot of Korean influence in their cuisine, so you can find some Korean dishes on the menu as well. The staff is friendly and the flavor and quality of the food is decent. Just be aware that they don't accept American Express.

Had a last minute dinner! We ordered 4 rolls for the two of us! It was definitely delicious! Haven’t had any deep fried sushi in a while!

Their salmon donburi bowl is huge and wholesome and filling. Generous seafood and vegetables and rice. Rolls taste great but portions can be a bit small.

The food is cheap which is good but the quality matches the price. I got a yam roll and an avocado cucumber roll but the rolls were small, falling apart and the nori was hard to chew through. The taste was good but I guess for a total of $8.70 I can’t really complain. This photo I had eaten half of it

It was okay. Restaurant was clean. Sushi was not bad. Roll was falling apart and rice was moist. Their price is very good. Pre covid pricing. You get what you pay for I guess. If you look for economical and want to fill your hunger. This would be a good option.

This is where you go to for good value sushi. The ingredients aren't top quality ex. the unagi is clearly Chinese sourced unagi that just doesn't taste as good as the Japanese sourced unagi but you get a lot for the price, especially so for the combo rolls. Service was subpar but I chalk it up to a bad day, or perhaps the server was still learning the ropes.

Placed an order via phone and discussed having no spicy sauce on the rolls or putting it on the side. Upon pickup the staff repeated to me that the rolls weren’t spicy. Upon arriving home 4/6 rolls were completely covered in spicy sauce.

In search of a new sushi restaurant, my friend and I went to Hakone Sushi as it had a decent rating. The restaurant is inside a small building next to a few shops. Once I arrived, I remembered that this place was pretty famous for their spicy chirashi don. I had never tried it, and thought why not and ordered it. The food took quite a while to come out, probably because there's only one person doing the sushi and another doing the kitchen cooking. When my food arrived, I couldn't believe how big it was. I mean it was HUUUGE. Tasted decent too. The photo doesn't do justice. I struggled to finish the whole thing but damn it was good.

I love this place, I've been going here for five years every now and then and they always remember me no matter how long it's been since I've last gone. The food and service is great and the people working there are very friendly.
