Hakka No.1 Restaurant

I’ve had great experiences with this establishment- good food at decent prices. I personally prefer getting the food to-go rather than sitting in, but am told there’s less options that way! I usually get the chilli chicken or the spicy garlic chicken.

Hmmmmm..........they say "#1", but this restaurant should be on the low end of anyones hakka restaurant list. Hot and sour soup way too sweet, and no other herbs or spices used. Chilli calamari so so. Too much transference of flavors from previously cooked dishes. Their vegetarian noodles very greasy, and vegetables were not fresh. I do not know how they got 4-5 star ratings unless those reviewers are very very heavy smokers of cigerettes and various street drugs. NOTE: I had previously recommended Lotus Garden at Warden and Danforth Ave. They have (since beginning May 2018) changed hands to a new owner. Its okay, but definitely not the same as the previous owner. So I withdraw my recommendation of Lotus Garden until we visit them at least another 2 times......billp

Fantastic food and very generous portions! Their Manchurian chicken is one of the best in town.

Used to be a fine restaurant when it first started but now quality of food is never consistent, I would rate zero for SERVICE which matters most to me. They don’t care at all. This restaurant will be my last option to visit. Not to mention one time we spotted a small bug in our food which was truly disgusting.
