After braking down on my way back from Gaspe to Vaudreuil, I had a very pleasant and delightful unexpected 4 night stay at the Hotel Centre Ville.. Upon arriving by taxi, I first noticed the well maintained and clean look to the outside, which always leaves a good impression..nUpon entering the Reception area to check in, it too was very clean. I was then greeted by a very friendly, polite and welcoming Receptionist, who explained everything to me and had no problem switching to English for me.. As I wasn't sure how long I would be needing a room, I originally check in for one night. However, this was not the case. Over the 4 nights, I encountered 3 different receptionists at the check in/out desk, and each one was as pleasant, kind and cheerful as the other..nMy room was just outside the main entrance my door opened at the parking lot facing the street. I was given 2 key cards, even though only needing one..When I opened the door, again I was pleasantly surprised.. The room was very clean, it had a queen size bed with 4 pillows, and beautiful clean sheets. The bathroom had a stand up shower with glass doors, with soap, shampoo and conditioner dispenser attached inside. There's also a mini fridge, a coffee machine with good coffee. There's a flat screen t.v on the wall.. In fact the room was just what was needed after a rough couple of hours and drive. In fact, even though being fairly close to road, it was also very quiet..nAttached to the hotel is the Resto bar Lafontaine.. The staff here are also very friendly.. There is a good choice of food, which is also very good.nTo the other side there is also the restaurant Normandin and just a little further, if you have small children that love McDonalds theres one just a few steps further..nIf you're there for a couple of days, I did a little walkingno choice really and the weather was good. I walked for 5-10 mins to the town, where there's a beautiful tree covered park, a remembrance monument to the people that lost their lives during the wars.nBut too me, with the weather being so nice, and the river being right there, with plenty of benches, even a couple of swinging ones. I found it a perfect place to just sit back, relax and enjoy the day..nAll in all, I really did love my unexpected couple of days here.. It made me sit back and think of how lucky we are to have beautiful places around us to enjoy.nThe Hotel Centre Ville Montmagny, and their staff, made my stay very memorable..nI wish to Thank you all !!nIf I'm ever passing your way again, I would not hesitate to spend time there again
From check in to check out the service was excellent, staff friendly courteous and helpful with giving us information.nnThe room was very clean and comfortable.nnQuiet allowing for a good sleep.nnThe hotel location close to restaurants and good areas for walking and biking
HinWe enjoyed our stay at this hotel while travelling from Sydney to Toronto. The service was great, room was very nice and very clean. Our only complaint was the very very noisy bed. It was like sleeping on 1000 plastic bags that crinkling so loud every time you moved. We really recommend the hotel but do not recommend room 126.
We had a lovely two night stay here over the Christmas holidays. Our suite was surprisingly large which provided ample room for us and the 4 kids. There were 2 full beds and a pull out couch. It was clean and looks like it had recently received a face lift.nnThe only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that the TV’s aren’t smart TV’s so no Netflix etc, and I brought a fire stick as a back up, but the TV’s settings wouldn’t allow the fire stick to work. So the kids had to settle with what ever random cartoon they could find on the cable.nnThere’s also no microwave in the room so I had to run down to the main shared kitchen frequently to warm the babies bottle and food etc.nnThere’s soap and a T-towel there so clients can wash up after themselves. Cute but not overly convenient when you’re upstairs.nnOverall we were impressed. For a fraction of the price of larger hotels this brought us out of Quebec City and into a calm quiet town. There’s a Normandin restaurant within 150m which we also frequented. The staff there were also pleasant.
The only thing I would add is the ventilator AC unit. Either there are mold or dirty in it. I coughed all night. I had to turn off so maybe having the unit serviced?nOther than that the place was really clean. Very well appreciated
