I had the pleasure of dining at Gyubee Japanese Grill in Waterloo, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between lively and cozy, making it a great spot for both a night out with friends and a more intimate dinner. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, taking the time to explain the menu and ensuring that every dish came out promptly and prepared with care.nThe food itself was outstanding. Each cut of meat was fresh, flavorful, and of high quality, but the standout of the evening was without question the miso-marinated steak. Tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, it melted in the mouth and left a lasting impression. Alongside it, the variety of sides and sauces complemented the grill experience beautifully, allowing us to mix and match flavors in a fun and interactive way.nWhat really set Gyubee apart, though, was the overall experience. From the attentive service to the engaging grill-your-own style dining, it felt more like an occasion than just a meal. I left full, satisfied, and eager to return. Waterloo is lucky to have a place like Gyubee, and I’ll definitely be back soon.
We went to celebrate my mom’s birthday and had a great experience! The food was good and the service was awesome : The food came out quick and the tables were always cleared. Big thank you to our server Gerard! He was really kind!
This was our first time here and everything about this restaurant was amazing! Fast and friendly, quick to clear and take new orders during the buffet service. Thank you for a great experience!
I come to Gyubee perhaps more than the average person because there’s nothing that fixes the craving quite like it. They have a wide variety of cuts of meats and different marinated meats. They are consistent with keeping their quality great. Their sides taste delicious and they are slowly adding more options like Sushi and chicken wings. Unlike when it opened, now there’s normally no wait or a small amount of wait as you que for a table. However, I think there should be more dessert options. It’s a great place to come with family or friends and they have plenty of drink options to keep everyone happy.
Our dinner last night was made truly exceptional by our server, Wade. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, guiding us perfectly. He struck the ideal balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy our evening. His genuine, warm demeanor elevated the entire experience!nnThank you, Wade, for your outstanding service—we will absolutely be returning because of your service—we will absolutely be returning because of you!
