Guu Davie

It doesn't get much better than this. Service, food quality, presentation, and interesting menu items are all things that Guu excels at. I've now been to three of the four locations and all have been spectacular. My favorite menu items have been the various udon dishes and pork. Out of dozens of restaurants I've eaten at in the Vancouver area who has arguably the best service.

Food was great, but what made our experience amazing was the service from our server, Eddie! Eddie went the extra mile helping us order with his own suggestions, and was very thoughtful e.g our hotpot wouldn’t fit on the table so he cooked it on another table and took photos of videos of the food for us Eddie was just absolutely amazing and would also tell us about where they sourced their ingredients he said he picked out the oysters from Granville himself that morning thank you so much eddie!

Went here for happy hour and was not disappointed. Great price for soju cocktail pitcher which tasted great and everything else we ordered hit too. The oysters are super cheap and taste fresh.

Great food and very nice vibe inside the restaurant. Service was very friendly and welcoming but a bit slow at times we got forgotten a few times but nothing major. Definitely try their chicken karage and speciality drinks.

Absolutely delicious food. The service was very friendly. We went for dinner on a Tuesday night around 630pm and it wasn't overly busy. The appies were yummy, especially the garlic shrimp. I loved my main dish, Miso Katsu Don.Food: 5/5

From the moment you are welcomed upon entry to the final goodbye, you're in for a good time. Very interesting and unique menu. Be sure to look closely at the daily sheet. There's always amazing gems there. You'd be missing out if you don't try the Guu Poutine, which is outstanding and must be experienced. Oysters are prepared fresh and are a treat. There's also a great patio during the good weather. Top notch.

Last year during pride we really enjoyed sitting on the patio with some delicious food, good drinks and THE most fresh oysters I have ever had. They were so fresh the moved when we put lemon on them. Would recommend.

Excellent location and menu. Staff is friendly and accomodating. One of our dishes was missed by the kitchen but the waiter was really nice about it. The food here is bomb. Great place to go for drinks and good food.
