My wife is gluten intolerant, and Gutsies has been a lifesaver, great selection of baked goods. She loves the lemon blueberry scones. Prices are reasonably high but to be expected and the product quality is superior. Lovely helpful staff as well. 5
Insane amount of gluten free options - it's not just a bakery but also a small gluten free grocer. The white whole grain bread was absolutely excellent- didn't need toasting to be good like so many grocery store brands do - tastes good straight out of the bag and also when reheated from frozen. I would and will drive all the way across the city for this kind of quality.
Let me start by saying that this place is going to be a huge problem!!nnFirst, they have way too many delicious packaged snacks that you can't find in the regular stores or even more specialized stores.nnNext, how dare they perfect the gluten-free croissant?! Like why? I was perfectly happy going through life without the extra calories in my life because no baker has been able to come close to regular croissants!nnThen there's the carrot cake. I thought my grandmother had the patent on the perfect carrot cake but clearly this place stole it. There is obviously gluten in this cake??nnOk, kidding aside, kudos to the owners and staff for bringing so much quality and freshness to the gluten-free masses.
I have been pleased with three gluten free selection of staple foods here. I feel that the baked foods are shrinking though; carrot cake, lemon squares, and brownies all looked smaller the last time I was there, and so more expensive.nThey should also note that when six of the same baked good are bought together, there should be no tax charged. Eg. 6 muffins can be assorted flavors
Privately owned bakery. All is made in-house. From my purchase, the raspberry muffin and cheesecake cup are scrumptious and delicious. I understand it's homemade in-house and great quality, but it's a tad expensive. I will return but probably to purchase 1-2 items at a time due to price.
