Went for lunch. Burger served on pretzel roll with fries. Very good. Burger very juicy and cooked to medium as requested. Fries crispy with a spicy dipping sauce. Nice view out on porch.

Pretty authentic German food. Chicken sandwich with amazing dressing and potatoes was very very good. Here you can order delicious warm gluhwein. They have little venue for people with dogs. Smart

Good food and nice atmosphere. I think the kid's mac and cheese, and the kid's hot dog just may be the best thing we ate! 😄 Not the type of food I crave, but it was hearty and we cleaned our plates!

The food for lunch today was incredibly good. The wait staff was polite, and aware without hovering. My small question brought one of the chefs tableside with a complete and friendly answer. And the portion size was crazy large, for the prices. The stuffed mushrooms are a must have. No, you don't understand. If you like mushrooms, you have got to taste these. Even though I drive an hour to get there from where I live, The Gunk Haus is absolutely worth the trip. And no, I don't own, work, or have any investment in it. It's a comfortable space, with great food.

Food is decent to great depending on the item. Don't get the pretzel appetizer, the spread tastes horrid. Otherwise, stick with authentic German items like the mixed grill (3 types of sausage) etc and you'll have a great time. While the indoor seating isn't bad, it gets loud when full and the windows are tiny so you lose the nice view. The outdoor seating is difficult to get when busy but so worth the wait.
