GREAT small-town hospital! Unfortunately I ended up in the ER one morning and was seen, evaluated including imaging, and treated immediately. I recently had a procedure done that that has taken hours at other regional hospitals. I was in and out in under 2 hours here. The staff has always been super helpful, professional, and friendly. I cannot say I have ever had a better experience at a medical facility. They are my go-to location for any procedure I need done.
This is the only hospital I will allow my family to bring me to. It is the only place I have ever been where I truly felt like they cared and took everything I said seriously. Having the absolute worst pain of my life, Mercy in waterloo gave me 1 dose of fentanyl that didn't help and then told me to take naproxen and go home. They wanted me to take Naproxen for pain Fentanyl wouldn't even touch. I came straight to grundy instead where they admitted me and every doctor I've spoken to disagrees with what Mercy said was wrong. They are truly doing everything they can to find the right combination of pain medication to keep me comfortable. The nurses and doctors are very nice to me. Other places just make me feel like I'm annoying them or inconveniencing them.
Dr curnes needs to be fired u do not send someone home that’s feeling like there gonna pass out and bad back pain on my spine n head pain with in 10 mins of my visit I was diagnosed with viral syndrome absolutely no test ran. and sent home when my blood pressure was high this is the absolute worst experience I have ever had at this er I will walk out before this doctor will ever see me again call before u go if this doctor is there do not go he shouldn’t be a DO and should loose his license.
My 76yo mother has stage 4 Vascular Dementia came in from nursing home where she got pneumonia. Rhinovirus cold. & a UTI. It didnt look good, but the amazing ing staff at this hospital she's never been to before--saved her life. I am very impressed with the competence of great staff there. They stayed in contact with regular updates since i live out of town.Thank you all.
They were super friendly. Professional and worked in a timely manner. Also the hospital is extremely clean !
