I interviewed several attorney's before retaining Mr. Travis Groves and I am thankful he represented me during my divorce.  I appreciated Mr. Groves no nonsense approach to the process.  He is fact based, lets his experience and knowledge of law guide the way and will ground you to reality when it is easy to let emotions get the best of you.  He is always in your corner looking out for your best interest and is not looking to drain your bank account in the process. If you respect his time, he will respect yours.  He is also excellent about his response times and makes himself available to serve his clients outside of regular business hours.  This is unheard of, I would get responses in the evenings and on weekends.  I am very happy with the settlement we agreed to and I would recommend Mr. Groves to anyone looking for a no nonsense attorney who will give it to you straight and work hard to deliver the best possible outcome on your behalf. His clear and direct communication was a breath of fresh air.
"Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy." - Proverbs I read a review that said that Travis gives it straight - that couldn't have been more true. After mediation, then nearly 10k in attorney fees, and 5 years of constant wondering and questioning what else I could have done or do now... Travis set the record in under 28 minutes. If ever I have need an attorney for anything, I'm calling this guy before anyone.
Travis is phenomenal. He is extremely thorough and has your best interest in mind. I would highly recommend him.
Can come across abrupt but he is a brilliant strategist; is cunning; and truly, a genuinely good guy who isn't afraid to give it to you straight. I never felt that his motives were financial. He is phenomenally talented and guided me every step of the way.
Travis has represented two of my family members and two of my friends that are like family, all in family law cases. He may be brutally honest and I understand some people may not like that but I appreciate he's the type of lawyer that lets you know to hope for the best but prepare for the worst and doesn't go in with the "slam dunk case" attitude. He's thoughtful and thorough. I would recommend him anytime.
Travis and everyone at the Groves firm have shown nothing but dedication, integrity and professionalism when handling my case. From start to finish Travis was supportive and realistic with every possible outcome which I really appreciated. I truly believe that if I were to have hired a different attorney I would not have had such a positive experience. Travis fought for my family and not for my money. Not only would I hire him again but I would recommend him and the rest of the staff at Groves Lawfirm to any friend of mine.
Okay, I spoke with Laura Groves first and her advice gave me solid ground to feel comfortable with where I was headed in my case. I was pro se and although I had some money saved up it wasn’t enough to secure representation. I requested to meet with the firm a week before a temp hearing. I met with Travis Groves, who was blunt. And when I say blunt I mean... get ready for some tough love. He gave me a straight forward , worst case scenario outlook. And after his tough love advice, I went in to my hearing pro se and was able to come out successfully. It was difficult but I don’t think I would have been able to go in as prepared as I did if I hadn’t met with Travis first. If I could have had him represent me, I would have. He and his wife both gave me sound advice, Laura was gentle and firm, and Travis was tough BUT firm. They have their own ways of going about it and I know that if I ever get into legal trouble in the future this will be the firm that I want to represent me. They know what to expect, they understand what you are going through, but they will always give you the truth no matter how difficult it may be to swallow. Thank you for your advice and I will make sure to seek this firm out for representation should the need arise hopefully it never does!
Laura Groves helped me with my post secondary support, and did a fantastic job. My paperwork was a mess from the previous court appointment a couple years prior, and she got that all fixed up, and helped me reach a very reasonable deal in my case. I will definitely be going back to their office for my next case!
I had the old bait and switch from Travis. He told me in his own words I will need a skirt for this case. Told me that his wife would be there in court with me and he would be doing all the back ground work. First day of court and she wasn't there but he was. The other party said that they would provide all transportation and he said no my client would like to meet at a halfway point. That was not even close to true He seemed to be owned by the other lawyer. He came in to court with a suit that looked like he slept in. The other party had been lying about almost everything and then sent more lies to the GAL and he never tried to defend me to him. His words to me was o the GAL knows you are going to deny that. My question was well shouldn't you have tried? After all I told you I had a witness to it all. He kept telling me that I can't do that and to wear the white hat. Even though I kept saying I wasn't or haven't done anything that was said. To top it all off, there was never any prep for the GAL meeting or the court room. Keep your money and go to someone else. If I was able to get back my 5000 dollars I would.
