Ok, firstly, I am not a fake reviewer. As you know, Greyhound is now departing/arriving to the Union Station Bus Terminal. And good luck finding the bus terminal station. No kidding. Not sure whether this is a stupidity from the part of the City of TO, or whether it is Greyhound's fault. In any case, if you are not familiar with the new station, get there well in advance so you find the terminal before your bus departs. The terminal is beautiful. See the pics. Greyhound also CANCELLED my bus to the USA with no advance notice. They do it while you are lined up to get on I know, horrible. They cancelled the 11.45 towards Buffalo NY and we got on the 1.30 pm. That delayed my whole route and they don't really care. Someone waiting with me said that he had experience exactly the same cancellation a few months ago. As you know the Train AMTRAK to the US is not working. They are trying to restore the service in 2022.
The drivers, staff, customer care nobody cares about the passengers. The worst transport agency in the world. They Cancelled the bus on my way to NYC in the middle of the trip at Buffalo without any prior information. Helpdesk person left the place knowing the bus is cancelled, but she did not inform any of the passengers waiting there. Terminal police let us know after an hour. All passengers were left without any information about next bus. Customer care was not responded. That delayed the whole route and they don't really care. As we were in hurry, we had to choose flight to reach NYC. And finally after all this, Greyhound is not ready to do the refund.
Bus was on time. Helpful staff, the bus driver was very professional and polite. I had a great experience with greyhound and would surely travel with them in future as well.
I will never use greyhound bus , starting from the bus is not comfortable and from Toronto till Washington DC you can't even get something to eat. Am diabetic and suffered from hunger and almost collapse. The drivers are very rude.
This location was once a leading station in Canada. Sadly it's now showing its age and years of neglect in the 90s and 00s. It would be nice to see some investment in the place. I think the last major redesign was back in the late 70s early 80s. Staff try to keep it clean and free of homeless so it not to uncomfortable when waiting for your bus. Washrooms are not great and can be quite unkempt but that is more down to the lack of respect by most travelers than by the cleaning staff. Coach pick up area can be somewhat fume filled in summer but that is mostly due to 1940s design.
New bus terminal. Very clean and some seating for the passengers. The place is fulL with advertising, nice to see a bit of artwork.
Good space and easy boarding in the buses due to maintained the tracks and a good waiting area. Buses are mostly on time and the drivers really helpful and courteous. Overall a good travel experience to Canada from Philadelphia. But if you have other options like driving etc.. choose those over bus for such long distances. Just my opinion as after a while with no legroom, becomes a bit painful. But if no other option, this option is totally worth it !
When I tried calling a local station to ask a question, I got transferred to the central phone line, with its several minutes of recorded messages wasting my time. An agent eventually appeared and explained that sometimes this happens during busy times and that I should try again after 5-10 minutes. I waited 10-15 minutes and went through the same procedure. This time no agent answered the phone; I was sent straight to a customer survey and then told goodbye.
Travel was good, we arrived on time. However pick up location in Scarborough is frustrating. I spent 20 min to find the Scarborough library place.
4 hours delayed just in sudden when the time we had to departure. Only one announcement and then nodody Was caring the wating ppl. No where to ask, what’s going on. Ppl waited on the line for 4 hours from New York bus terminal. Later on They said the Bus driver quit on that day, There’s no substitute driver. It supposed to go Toronto directly but they moved us around 3 different buses every 3-5 hous. It was Hell!!! Even the bus has very stinky washroom smells all over. So terrible. I thanked I had masks on but still it was remarkable. Do not go trip with Greyhound… You gonna meet the another world that you never expected. This company systems need to be disappeared..
