Greta Bar

This review is limited ONLY to drinks, dancing, games, vibe. No food was consumed. Greta draws a crowd of young adults, mostly uni students at least late on a Saturday night. It’s busy, and for good reason. It’s clean enough. Drinks are standard, as is the pricing. Staff are cool, laid back but active in serving and tidying up messes. They’re not after you to keep ordering. The vibe is fun fun fun. Arcade games everywhere. It’s easy to roam around and mingle. I played Tetris, which was a throw back. The DJ started playing at around 11pm, I think. Lots of variety, mostly hip hop and top 40s. I had fun on this random dance night out.

Went to this place in the afternoon, trying to avoid the major crowds of the evening. Little did we know they have a pretty decent happy hour, so it was pretty crowded :P.. That being said, super fun place with great deals at certain times of day or certain nights. Not sure what the repeatability factor is - when we left, we felt we had exhausted all the options of games. Decent food and good beer choices though, and the line up for the evening crowd made me think it turned more into bar crowd with a side of games, rather than the games being the focal point. All in all, had a fun time checking out the place. As an interesting piece of history, this queer friendly spot actually used to be one of the city's gay bars a couple of decades ago!

First time here and my impression was, definitely coming again. It gave off this vibe of timeless fun. The crowd was an easy mix of older teens to a sprinkle of 40- 60 something year old group of friends coming for a night out. My companion spotted someone that looked like their young niece - might have been fun to watch the exchange if it was really her. From the reception to the bar, the staff were friendly and had an infectious energy. There was an assortment of games with only brief line ups for a turn. A card gives access to all the games at the location. Users are able to load it with any amount of money and use it again at the next visit. I did the Mario cart, bowling, alien invaders and basketball- fun!! There are QR codes on the tables to access a virtual menu. I enjoyed the cocktails but the food not so much hadn't tried it before maybe a second try? I am not giving 5 stars because I did not get a chance to check out the washroom.

Cute place. Industry night is the best time to go. Good drink prices and unlimited games for 5 bucks. The burger was super bland. Please add some flavor. The poutine was amazing and the chicken burger is really spicy, so if you don't like heat dont get the chicken burger

Excellent food. The waitresses were all great and the arcade was fun. Definitely coming back next visit to Calgary

the bartenders are helpful, friendly, and talented. the flowers for greta cocktail was absolutely amazing. overall a great vibe, very comfortable atmosphere, and fun games

Stopped in at Greta on whim while travelling through Calgary. Definitely a good choice, ended up going during happy hour and got 3hrs of play on the machines for $20. Well worth the money no shortage of games or drinks. I highly recommend this place.

Awesome experience at Greta Bar!! Service was superb, amazing food and great ambiance!! Will highly recommend this place for a family event or corporate event or simply for a fun night out!

We just had our team Christmas Party at this location for 30+ people and everyone was very happy with service and experience this place is offering. The food was delicious, Greta team very attentive and accommodating, the games were fun. We loved the place and will definitely be back.
