What a gem. Really enjoyed our stay here. Hige backyard with outdoor games, great selection of beer, fantastic service, pool table, table soccer and many more. Decent prices as well, unless you order pizza, which is overpriced and tastes only okayish.Food: 4/5
The atmosphere and vibe is amazing! The perfect word to describe the place is "Quaint". A very warm and cozy appeal to the place fits well with the exterior. The music is also full of indie-rock bangers and even shared the playlist with us. Parking: You are at the whims of downtown street parking availability.
Pretty cool place. I ordered a cinnamon bun and it took around 20 minutes. Understandable though, as it was fresh out the oven. If you order this item on the menu do not expect any glaze and its served as two medium size cinnamon buns. Overall the server was nice but in my opinion the wait time makes this item not really worth getting unless your really craving cinnamon buns.
Customer service here was great and a quick shout out to Sarah! Really enjoyed the old house atmosphere. Didn’t have any food but drinks were good! Highly recommend this place!Service: 5/5
The food especially the PIZZA and SPINACH DIP, the vibe, the service, the drinks the green demon are soooo amazing! Must visit Civic Tavern! The owner is also really awesome! Also, come and meet baby yoda lol..
I think it’s not a bad place at all, it’s just that I was not in the correct place at the correct time. My thoughts are that for a drink or two it’s fantastic great selection of beers on tap, plus shots and much more but not really good food and overpriced for the quality. Location is top and the place is so cool, take note that is loud too, which is find if you’re in a tavern with friends.
Where is the charm that was once here? Suggestions for beer lacking. Order a beer and it was not right tell them about it and they pour a sample telling me I'm wrong. Took 35 minutes for a pizza that was quite doughy and we were the only ones there. What was the Hop and Brew to this is a fall of grace. Will not be coming back
The best place in Calgary, 15 different taps and always rotating, great staff and music, super fun, pool table, good pizza and great cocktails. I recommend the shafts
Shout out to all the staff that worked sat evening. Myself and a few girlfriends were in town for a concert and a bite to eat. All the staff and management went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. We had a blast and the wings were top notch Thank you so so much!! Gwendlyn Drever
This is my new favourite place when I visit Calgary. A great selection of beers, quirky and full of character and some great music in the background.
