My mom and I were visiting from Florida and this place was recommended. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. I was able to meet Mr. Gregory, very nice and down to earth man. This is a must try! The dressing was just okay, , but the fried wings were out of this world delicious. The chicken and waffles was also very good.
Reviews on this place are all over the place. My hubs and I went there for our 20th anniversary dinner. It's a challenge to find a full fried chicken dinner in Lansing, I digress. The man that took our order was a sweetie! Our food arrived hot, fresh and delicious! Everyone was friendly, cordial and accommodating. Plated you'll see the chicken wing and fish dinner with green beans, black eyed peas and cornbread muffin. Hoping to make this a regular on Fridays! DELICIOUS FOOD!
This place met and exceeded my expectations. When I tell you that this is truly soul food, I mean you can literally taste all the heart and soul they put into their dishes. By and far the best soul food I've had in a long time. I had the fish and chicken combo and I was in heaven from the first bite. Both the chicken and fish were as juicy as can be, and the crust they put on both was tremendously flavorful. I definitely will be visiting this place more than a few times, and I suggest everyone else do the same.
Tried Gregory's for the first time and it did NOT disappoint. I'll definitely be going back to get some more soul food. The food is amazing and the prices are great.

If you are EVER in the mood for some good fried chicken, please doubt sleep on Gregory's. Gregory's has some of the best fried chicken and you definitely get what you pay for. Thec wing basket comes with 5 full size not wing dings or those small pieces of chicken you get from Fresh Fish. I mean grown up portions. It comes fresh and hot straight from the grease. There grilled and fried shrimp are delicious and catfish is filleted to perfection. One of my favorite comfort foods any time of day is the chicken and waffles. It's amazing!!! Gregory's has been around for years but let me talk about it as if it were a newly established restaurant. Go and feed your family a home cooked meal that you didn't have to prepare. You can thank me later.
In my opinion Gregory's has been a staple of good food for years. Lansing has benefitted from the love Gregory's has shown to the community that it serves. I cant think of anything that I didn't like from Gregory's. My newest obsession is the Fish and Grits. If you don't know, You better ask somebody.... Parking: Plenty of parking
Went out for dinner and meet up with friends, ordered the famous wings for me and catfish dinner for wife, everything was seasoned and prepared just right, highly recommended!

Went here about a week ago and am seriosuly considering making it a weekly venture. The service was great, everyone was warm and friendly, even the patrons. People would come in smiling and would great you so genuinely. I really felt that I was apart of a bigger community, plus they had the music on jam. Concerning the food, top grade, a little slow due to the amount of traffic, BUT absolutely worth it! Beautiful portions, I left full but I was definitely hungry for more. *greens were cold, but everything else was pretty damn good!
