My friend and I stayed in the "male dorm". The accommodations were as advertised -- nothing fancy, but just right for the low-budget traveler. I especially liked the "dining room" with its cast iron stove, fireplace, and wooden glider chairs; it had a rustic, log cabin feel, and I would have happily spent more time there had I not been so eager to get out and hike. The location of the showers was a little awkward for those of us staying in the male dorm, because we had to walk through the dining room to get from one to the other. The hosts (Ed, Anne, and Chris) were all very friendly, and I enjoyed my brief chats with them.

Ann, Ed, and Chris are truly lovely people. The property is spacious and the lodge is very homie. They have plenty of things to do around the property and nearby. Bennington is only 10 minutes away.... Oh eat at Papa Pete's (eggs Benedict!)

Great amazing place, family owned staff very helpful. Camping sites are tucked in the woods, some are around the 2 lakes. Beautiful, just what we were looking for as our first VT experience. Thanks Ann&Ed

We loved our time at Greenwood Lodge. It's a beautiful campground. Small, family owned & very welcoming.

A lovely campground, run by a wonderful and dedicated family. We enjoyed a three night stay in our trailer, the sites were well laid out and maintained beautifully. It was a fantastic respite from the summer heat and smog of Eastern MA, clear cool mountain air at nights. Hot showers with great water pressure is a huge plus, especially since they make every effort to keep the facilities very clean. Bennigton is only a 15 minute drive from camp, which is a hidden renaissance gem of downtown shops (where you can also find larger stores retails to replenish items, if you have a large family like me). The campground is a great place to visit for anything from tent dry camping for a week, to pulling through with your land yacht for a night or two along the way on your journey. We can't wait for our next visit!
