Otter Creek Campground

Story

If you’re looking for old fashioned camping, look no further! We're open every year all year-round! If you're looking for a clean,old-fashioned Vermont campground, you found it! You can comfortably sleep in your tent without hearing the sound of a diesel motor home starting up at 6:00am! That's not us and we don't allow campers over 30' on our property! This is our way of keeping Otter Creek small, quaint and peaceful just like the state of Vermont itself!

We are located 30 minutes south of Killington and 20 minutes north of outlet shopping destinaion, Manchester, Vermont. We're located in quaint little Danby, Vermont!

Our location in Danby makes it easy to access many of the great places in Vermont, including the Green Mountain National Forest; Appalachian Trail (among other hiking trails), snowmobile trails, Manchester outlets, Vermont Country Store, Killington, Bromley Mountain, Stratton Mounain and other great tourist attractions!

DID YOU KNOW that Danby, Vermont is the home to the WORLD'S LARGEST white marble mine? Otter Creek Campground has the best view of Dorest Mountain where this mine is located. To learn more, click on this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KgJ6GSB2hU

Been going there since I was little, the camp ground owners are the greatest people, very nice they have a nice pool to cool off in the summer time, a nice getaway if you don't wanna spend too much, not to mention it's located in a beautiful state and the town of Danby

They are right on a beautiful canoeing stream yet complained when i stopped by the store to get a cold drink. Threatened to charge me with trespassing but when I asked if they didn't want my money they didn't like that idea either. Just not nice. Camping is either in a field and looks hot or in the woods and always looks damp....but it might dry out if Vermont ever dries out.
