The Greater Victoria Housing Society is an important organization in our community that offers essential support and services to those who need it most. I commend the GVHS and its staff for the good work they do, and I wholeheartedly support their efforts to help people find a place to call home.

Horrible communications . No emergency contact, just some guy saying he will pass on a message with no power to deal with a situation . So I'm paying for a guy with my jacked up rent to sit in an office soak up wages and do essentially nothing. Nice. laundry machines broken well over 24 hrs Not answering phones during business hours Paying premium rental rates to have our legislated rights as tenants ignored 1/10 would not recommend

I was very proactive calling 1-2 times a week for a whole month because they gave me a lead on a place they said would be suitable for me. I am a low income single mother who qualifies in every way for subsidized housing. I was turned down with NO EXPLANATION as to why they denied me housing. I am still seeking housing and feeling extremely disappointed in this housing society for turning me down without any explanation.
