Great Shang Hai Restaurant & Lounge

My 3 friends and I decided to go there for an early dinner. One of our friends had come from Idaho, so we had a lot to catch up on. When 3 of us arrived we were seated and given our drinks. When we went to order, I ordered a steak (I'm not a big chinese food eater), I was told they were out of steak. What? A restaurant out of steak? They had a couple of other choices so I chose fish and chips. We were given our food quickly. Our other friend arrived about 20 minutes after we had received our food She had a doctor's appointment. She then ordered.. We were deep in conversation and the waitress informed us that they were having other patrons come in and they needed our table. We looked around and there was plenty of tables open. Our friend that had recently received her food was still eating. They continued to ask us to leave but we decided to take our time since we were enjoying each others company. When we did get up to the register, the cashier was telling another patron that we had been there for hours. We actually were there for only 2. I thought eating at a restaurant was suppose to be relaxing and enjoyable. THIS WAS NOT. I can't believe the rudeness of this business. You can count on all of us to let people know what kind of treatment we received. We will not be returning. We were also asked about leaving a tip very rudely. Please be aware of what kind of treatment you may encounter at this business.

We went for lunch. Atmosphere was dry, very quiet inside. Nobody was talking. Ordered from the lunch menu. Food had a lot of flavor and we did have leftovers. The service is quick, but also quick to get you out. 4 stars for the food but I would say 1 star for the service, if I could give just a review on service.

This place is awesome!! If you want some good old fashioned Chinese American food this is the place. The prices are so low and the portions are huge!!! So if you go there with someone I would just buy one entree.

Place served us cold food. Then when we said that we didn’t like it the manager yelled at us that we still had to pay because she knows how young people are we ate hardly nothing from the plates and she tried taking our money. She then threatened to call the police on us. This place is not ran correctly and no one should eat here. DO NOT COME HERE.

Ordered almond chicken the gravy that was on it wasn't gravy but a dark sauce of some kind. Tasted bad. The fried rice was extremely dry and flavorless. When I tried telling the server, all I got was a blank look and a sorry. They need someone who speaks and understands English when there is a problem. The cashier took $2.00 of a totally unedible meal. Won't be coming back again.
