Worth the wait. The food was very good and well made. I wish I had tried something a little more interesting but I still enjoyed the food. The portion sizes were very large and I wasn't expecting that, pleasantly surprised. It's one of those Portland places that has a ridiculous wait and I don't fully understand why but maybe I will if I go again and try something else. I think it might be geared more toward meat lovers. Vegetarian options: Yes Parking: Difficult to find street parking Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
First time in Portland and we had breakfast at this cute little spot. Both dishes were great! The chicken in my dish was AMAZING. I usually don’t get gravy anywhere I go, but this gravy was delicious. Only downside was the veggie patty, it was a bit dry but husband still enjoyed his dish. Would I visit again, definitely!
Had an amazing food experience.... I highly recommend it. We all split for breakfast entrees and all were winners. See the pics. Only thing to be aware of is that you will have a wait depending on the size of your party.Food: 5/5
This place is a solid place for brunch and lunch. It can get pretty busy, especially during the weekends. We came here on a weekday and was able to get a seat right away. My friend had the Monte Cristo and I ordered the Country Fried Steak. The Monte Cristo was pretty big, enough to feed maybe 3 people. I tried some of it and it was good. I liked the size of the toast and texture of it. The Country Fried Steak was amazing! The gravy on top of it have it that extra flavor and definitely is a filling dish. The side of bacon was actually very crispy and broke down pretty easily, but was still good. Overall, a great meal.
Who knew this was just the place I didn’t know I needed! My fiancé told me it would be worth the wait on a Sunday and she was not lying. The food and service were both delightful! The famous French toast tasted like sweet clouds that I had to have no matter how full I was! What are you waiting for? Go there and try it for yourself!
This place is real breakfast. They really live up to the name because the gravy was insanely good. Everything looked amazing and fresh. Just to prepare you, the portions are big, we definitely filled a to go box. The scramble we got was one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. The place was busy but they still got us seated and our food in under 20 minutes. The staff was really efficient and everything was running really smoothly, especially for a rush time in a small building. As someone who worked in a restaurant, I can appreciate the efficiency. Shane was our server and did an amazing job. It was an amazing experience and will be back.
So biscuits and gravy are a theme of my mornings... When I found this place on Google I was expecting the best. And the best is exactly what we got. The gravy is the perfect amount of thickness and the biscuits were soft and mixed wrll with the gravy. The wait was about 45 minutes to get a table.... That's how popular they are. Highly recommend. We also got Mac and cheese for my work, and although I didn't like it as much as it was extremely greasy it was still above average. If you go to gravy stick to their name and try the biscuits and gravy.
The best breakfast I've ever had. I had the Bracato scramble and we all shared the sweet potato pancake, and the biscuits and gravy. My husband had the fried chicken with sausage gravy, eggs, and hashbrowns. Everything we had was freaking delicious, right down to the coffee. The coffee was so good, we brought home a bag. It was raining outside, the food was so comforting, the service was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was just perfect for a rainy, Portland day. Definitely check this place out and make sure you come hungry!
INCREDIBLE! Got there 2 hours before close, and we were the last people they took for the day because the line was so long. After a 45 min wait, we ordered the 3 most popular items, French toast, a scramble with hash browns, and a small order of biscuits and gravy. Each dish by itself was fresh, hot, and absolutely scrumptious! The biscuit was fluffy and flaky on the inside with a nice crunch on the outside, and the homemade sausage gravy tasted like all good things in life should. The French toast was soft and had so much flavor alone that it hardly needed syrup. And the scramble had everything you need in a hearty breakfast all grilled to perfection. The chef makes his own salsa, eat it, then buy a bottle and take it home, we did. Service was great, location was a little sketch, but most of Portland is right now, so just go with it! You won't regret eating here. You may regret how much you think about it everyday after.
I never thought I would see the day when I rated a place high for oatmeal. When I tell you, this was the best oatmeal I have ever had? I am not joking. Fruit, inside and on top with a brulee crust, topped with powdered sugar all while still not being overly sweet. It was delightful. Next is the french toast, thick slices of delicious chewy bread. I don't know how to describe it other than best French toast ever. Lastly, I ordered the single biscuit and gravy...I had to, it's the name of the place. The sausage gravy was thick and flavorful. I was worried based on the pictures it was going to be somewhat boring because of its lack of color. I was wrong, and regret ever having the thought. They brought out enough gravy on my one biscuit, I could have had two biscuits with gravy left over. I did my best to sop up every last drop and was unsuccessful. I loved this place. The waitress was super helpful and the service was quick. We had a flight to catch, and she helped us get everything fast, and wasted no time.
