Went to check this place out while in Portland. Really cool Bar deli. My Italian was amazing, meats were fresh hot peppers slaw was delicious and the bread was perfect. Beautiful day to sit outside as well. It’s Portland so not a lot of parking on the street but it’s well worth it if you could walk or take your car. Either way cool fun place to catch a bite to eat. Great service. Great recommendations on food and drinks. Would I go here again, absolutely.
Terrific sandwich place / bar in a neighborhood with other solid food options. Had the turkey club, really fresh ingredients and perfectly done. Tater tots on the side which is always a great touch to offer. Folks I was with had great things to say about their sandwiches and drinks. Certainly a place I would return to when in the neighborhood!
Solid. Came here on a Sunday, only a few folks, two pinball machines, open booths with weirdly nice tables. Super friendly and slightly quirky bartender took our order, made weirdly good cocktails and brought out our bar food which was suspiciously better than normal barfood. This is the kind of place that first convinced me how awesome portland can be. Theres no reason this place should have such good food, cool people, or great drinks. But it does, and it made our day. Thanks :
Bunk is certainly something of a sandwich institution in Portland and is always a safe bet. I recently ordered a Roast Beef sandwich which was the special for the day. At first I thought it looked a little small, but then I realized how tall it was! It was a very fine sandwich! And don't miss trying their "super secret recipe" Creole Cole Slaw. It's worth trying to bribe someone for the recipe.
This was an absolutely phenomenal find! My family and I stopped here for a bite to eat on our trip up north and I was not disappointed!! I had the BLT and their loaded tots. The sandwich ingredients were fresh and delicious the lettuce was crisp and the tomatoes succulent! And given how much I generally dislike tomatoes that's saying something. The tots to die for!! Hands down the best I've ever had! They were beautifully crisp on the outside and gave way to a delightfully soft chewy inside and best of all they weren't dripping in grease. It was present but they weren't the soggy school lunch tots you remember as a kid! The whole experience set the bar high and exceeded expectations! This goes for the staff as well! The wonderful person who took care of us whose name I cannot recall because I was dead tired after 12 hours of driving was friendly and warm and took great care of us! We will definitely be making a return trip on the way back to California!
Really good impossible burgers and the bunk sauce is love that it’s walk up service and has cozy boothsRecommended dishesTater Tots
We had The Bunk Cubano, Meatball Parmesano Hero and Loaded Mac & Cheese. The meatball sandwich and Cubano were both so delicious, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside . Actually, I wanted to try the Pork Belly Cubano, but it was not on the menu. The lemonade was delicious with real lemons shaken into it.
Best fried chicken sandwich around. Perfectly fried chicken with just the right amount of sauce, pickles and lettuce on a soft bun. And the Iceberg is not to be missed! Who doesn’t love a cold beer and margarita rolled into one?!
Amazing customer service, if you're in Portland, hungry and close to downtown, Bunk is the place to go to, those guys don't mess around when it comes to sandwiches and amazing local draft beer . Half a sandwish and i was praying for the skies how full I was. Love you guys, keep up the good work and flavor cheers
On the verge of standard pub fare. Bunk used to be better. Had a turkey club and it was OK, nothing special really, but the turkey was thick cut. Since when do you order a sandwich or a burger in a pub and it doesn’t come with some fries? even the photo from Bunk Bar from a year ago she was fries on the plate A simple garnish would’ve been nice…sprig of parsley? If you order a sandwich you get a sandwich on a plate, if you order a burger you get a burger on a plate. Thankfully, we ordered the loaded tots, but those aren’t as loaded as they used to be either. Maybe it’s inflation, maybe it’s Russia, maybe it’s Covid, maybe it’s door dash and Uber eats, but I definitely think there’s some cost cutting going on here.
