It was a fun way to learn about the town's history in many different ways here. Really nice people volunteering here, too. It's open only on Sundays, so keep that in mind when planning a trip.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Oh my what a fascinating place! I arrived about a half an hour before it was closing time on a Sunday; I'm definitely going back to explore again. The Museum is only open on Sundays at this time; It is completely run by volunteers. The volunteers who were there were very friendly and knowledgeable about the artifacts displayed. I found out many things I didn't know about and loved getting a tour filled with interesting information about Granite Falls history. This Museum is worth a visit. I've lived in Granite six years and it took me too long to visit. I highly recommend visiting and chatting with the volunteers who have so many interesting facts to share.
amazing experience. always something we didn't see before when we visit.
This museum continues to be my absolute favorite in the area. You can really tell how passionate both Tom and Fred are about this area’s history, and the different mining artifacts and pictures are incredible to see! Highly recommend giving them a visit when the world opens up again!
Great museum to learn about GF and the areas around. Everyone working there is very friendly with lots of great info. Lots of cool info online and the app is a great bonus for driving the mountain loop.
Great little place. A lot of really interesting stuff and very knowledgeable volunteers ready for any question you might have.
If you are worried about this being a dinky museum with sparse collections like some other small-town, museums don't be! For an all-volunteer museum it is a treasure. There are some larger objects as well as small covering topics like logging, mining, early 1900s fashion, and the like. It is small but it is well organized and the space is well utilized. Also there is a second floor and second building showing a more domestic set-up. If you have want to do research, including maps of Snohomish county homesteads, they are available online or by request at the museum. Kids and adults alike will be entertained and informed by a visit.
This was one of my favorite places. The staff was so very friendly and super informative. I will definately have to revisit when they finish their expansion!
This is a great museum and is very well put together. So much information that you can go online and really fill your head. Only open on Sunday's from 12-5 but its run by all volunteers with no debt so kudos for what they do provide.
This is an awesome museum. Full of interesting things. Well curated AND has a resident Labradoodle named Duffy...big but super friendly.
