After a very long time, did I find a place that has great Lassi and food in Brampton. Amazing choice of food and the taste and presentation is spectacular. The cuisine is North Indian and feels like the restaurant truly puts a lot of love and affection into the food they cook. Also great ambience for dinner / lunch with family and friends.
I'm not sure since when this guys are operating but interior was well managed nice and clean, If we talk about food and services it was awesome full marks on this. We visited during off time so no idea how this place works in pick hours I hope this same way. All items we order we got in authentic taste with proper dressing, NO FROZEN food at all which is great, must to visit big thumbs up
Service was fast , Overall Food was good. The drinks are moderately priced. However, I did notice food under tables and on the chairs as well. I wouldn’t recommend soy chap but everything else was good.
Best Place to visit for just an exquisite dine in experience. The place has fine vibe with comfy, spacious yet elegant seating. It has its own mini bar to enjoy their photo worthy cocktails and drinks. Food is amazing too. For appetizers, we had Dry Manchurian, Hara Bhara Kabab perfectly crisp, Malai Soya Chaap. All of these were the best we had so far. Spice level was so apt with all of these. For main course, we went with server’s recommendation that was Panner Tikka Masala in which Paneer was so soft and panner to gravy ratio was aptly what we like. Laccha paratha was the best we had so far, half of it we had as it is. It itself had a distinctive taste. For drinks, we went with reviews recommendation that was salted lassi and mango lassi. They were good too. To digest it all, we had lime masala soda, a perfect end of our meal at an amazing restaurant. All the food served was enough in quantity for 4 people. Server was polite, respectful, responsive and service was to the point. All our food was piping hot and was brought to us after certain intervals, which made it more enjoyable. A must visit restaurant! We will be back soon to try more dishes. Thank you guys for an amazing dine in experience
First time at Grand Taj Restaurant. As a family, we have been talking about tasting their food for a while but never got the chance to do so until today. We are constently looking for a good reliable consistent Indian restaurant and I think we might have just found it!!!!! We ordered the Mixed Veg Subzi, the Paneer Tikka Masala, the Tawa Chicken, Chicken Tikka Lababdar and Kadhai Gosht with both plain Naan and Tandoori Roti see the pics attached. As for flavour I would give 8/10 for spice masala and 7/10 for heat mirch. The combo of the two complemented each other like they should. There's nothing worse than often ordering Indian food where you don't taste any masala because of way too much heat you can always eat Hari Mirch with your food on the side. As for the Naans and Tandoori roti, just right... too many restaurants don't roll out their dough thin enough and so you get 1/2 thin and 1/2 thick undercooked Naans. However Th Grand Taj seems to get this done right.. Even their tandoori roti's were rolled out to the correct thickness. In any event I'm looking forward to ordering with The Grand Taj next week when I have 20+ guest over at my house. I would have given this restaurant a rating of 4/5 but as I write this review after eating the after taste is lingering inside my mouth wanting to go for seconds. So I would have givent this restaurant a 4.5/5 but instead gave them the benefit of the doubt so a 5/5 rating from me. Good job Grand Taj!!!! P.S. yes you do need to train your front line staff a bit more when they take orders over the phone.. no big deal as this can be easily managed. Update: Sat. AUG 13, 2022:. ordered the catering option for 20 people of 2 non Veg Chicken tikka Labradar, Kadhi Gosht and one veg Shahi paneer with Naan, jeera rice, salad raita and Gulab Jammon. On top of this, as I wanted to give my guess a good amount of Variety, I also ordered Tawa Chicken, Dhal Makhani, Mushroom Mattar. As per my original review the flavour masala spice was spot on however someone this time turned the Heat up a little.. The Tawa Chicken was more mirchi heat than what we originally had, which is why we ordered it again, but tolerable.. the Dhal Makhani creamy gravy was excellent but the dhal itself a bit undercooked. The Shahi paneer was a little too much on the sweet side but ended with a bit of heat in your mouth. Just wish they put more paneer as we had tonnes of gravy left over. The Mushroom Mattar was a bit of a disappointment. Yes it lacked in flavour and they used the Desi Mattar which is hard. Will we order from Grand Taj again, definitely YES. We are dying to try their other dishes... if they can cook a good gravy in the dishes we tried so far, their other dishes must be good too. Pls wait for my upcoming reviews. Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggienoptions to choose from with good flavour too. Parking: Ample parking isdie a large strip mall Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space for wheelchair accessibility
We went for dinner. Food was average. Typical North Indian cuisine. Staff was co-operative. Order to serving time was average. I felt the price was high compared to the overall experience. There were not many people when we went. People were mostly doing takeouts may be due to COVID
The Grand Taj is a great Indian restaurant. The tandoori food is great and rivals King Tandoori. It’s much more cleaner than most Indian restaurants. When you’re served water it’s from a clean glass. You’d think that’s standard but many Indian restaurants around this location don’t do it. They have gluten free options. The goat meat is good and so is the butter chicken. Daal makhni was a favourite for everyone. The naan are nicely made and not so thick like other places. They are also not burned. Mango lassis are tasty. The malai chicken tikka and the fish tikka are to have for sure. They lack a good lamb or goat seekh kebab. I found it to be higher on the spice level. It’s normal for Brampton but I’d recommend asking it to be less spice. We forgot and some found it too spicy. Overall it’s a must go to.
Nice place. Food is great. Lovely interior. Good service. Totally recommend will go again.
