Angie's Waterloo

Angie's Waterloo...did my search for a local place to get my breakfast. I'm a flight attendant so I'm on the road a lot trying to find good deals and great food. The place is family business...pretty busy on this Saturday morning. The waitress was charming but didn't get my order well...and therefore my breakfast was serve without my "well done" sausages. A lovely lady came out of the kitchen and introduced herself as the owner, Angie's daughter...Helena, I think. She corrected in a time manner my plate and then sat with me while I was having my meal. Well...she really had great customer service skills...and we chatted about this and that. This whole experience was fantastic. I was a bit upset about my breakie but finally was very pleased and came out of Angie's with a smile on my face. Great experience. Two thumbs 👍👍

I've been to Angie's many times but recently I went to sample a wide variety of pies in one sitting. At a table of four everyone had pie and all agreed that they tasted very odd. It seemed as though the insides were so dry that they were turning to gelaton and the crusts legitimately tasted like cigarettes. Ugh. I remember this place having great pie a few years ago.

Wasn’t overly impressed. Definitely better breakfast places to go to in town. My eggs Benedict was mediocre at best and the staff were speaking loudly to select customers and then basically ignoring the others. The owner was in the resteraunt at the time and was doing the job of the waitress who was not paying attention. Was upset that such a classic place was such a disappointment.

Excellent food, and friendly staff. They have a German breakfast complete with fresh farmer sausage, eggs, schnitzel and homemade jam. After you can take some of their fresh cinnamon buns home for later. Angie's is one of the historic breakfast places in Waterloo and has been featured on The Food Network. A must visit if you are in Waterloo

Just had the German platter and it was amazing.....have the schnitzel it is so delicious 😀 best buns in town and the service was warm and fun. Totally recommend.
