Amazing place to walk around, see the various gardens, trees, and nature. It's the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor. There's a rock garden, rose garden, rhododendron garden, and various others - a very peaceful area.
A beautiful place, anybody who likes nature and flowers would love to visit this place. There is a small museum and tea shop also. A pond and fall added a pleasant environment to this area. Parking is free.
The gardens are lovely, especially the two rose gardens, they were amazing. The tea room was nice, staff were so helpful and friendly and the food was really good. I think they are still getting themselves sorted as some little things weren't as smooth as they could have been i.e. pots of tea but only one central source of milk but everything was so lovely that little wrinkles don't take the edge off a great trip out. Oh also, there's still a bit of work being done to the house but most of it is clear of plastic.
The government house is a cool place Lots of gardens and fountains and pathways. Couldn't get into the building but the grounds are nice. Definetley worth a visit if your ever downtown Victoria..
Incredible property which allows you to roam outside of the residence between 9-4:30 or 'dusk til dawn.'It also has the most spectacular spot to capture the sunset on the channel.
An absolutely beautiful property and official residence of the Leutenant Governor of British Columbia. Situated on a high Rocky bluff, close to downtown Victoria and the inner harbor, the 36 acre property features rare protected Garry Oak forest which was once dominant on Southern Vancouver Island. An excellent place to visit when in Victoria.
Been coming for years but didn't realise how extensive the trails and grounds were. Just beautiful to walk and great views

It’s been my 5th time visited the government house. It was always nice to have walk around this property, have a beautiful scenery especially flowers! They have such a beautiful flowers. I am impress how they maintain the gardens. I believed they must be did a lot of effort to there to maintain the gardens and they did an awesome job.
Beautiful grounds, this is a great place to go for a nice quiet walk.
