Chinatown

What a fun place to visit... we took a water taxi across the bay from Fisherman's Wharf to Chinatown it was a fun and different experience for only $12 a person. We had a cool match on ice with almond milk. Right next to the Fan Alley.. it was yummy. Note: a lot of items are listed in Canadian prices and our US $1.00 is equivalent to $1.20

Super fun to visit both in the day time and night time when all the lights are shining. Overall a great place to visit. The Chinatown in Victoria, British Columbia is the oldest Chinatown in Canada and the second oldest in North America after San Francisco's.

Come on down and check out Canada’s oldest Chinatown. Browse through the many shops, or eat at one of the restaurants. The tea restaurant was one of my favorites. Very nice Chinatown, clean, compact and felt safe unlike here in Seattle. The restaurants looked amazing and I will be back to try them. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom!Visited onWeekend

Not sure what's the hype about China Town. It's all beautiful architecture and lights. Most of the shops were closed on weekend and we corks hardly find any place to eat. The small alleys inbetween are really beautiful and glad that I felt like exploring it eventhough the alleys were completely empty. There is a little souvenir shop on one corner too.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Victoria Chinatown and was struck by the rich history and culture of the area. From the beautiful architecture to the delicious food , there was something for everyone to enjoy. But what really stood out to me was the sense of community ‍‍‍ and the spirit of resilience that permeates the neighbourhood. The Chinese community has faced countless challenges and obstacles over the years, from discrimination to exclusion and more recently, the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic . Despite these challenges, they have persevered and continued to make important contributions to the local community and beyond. Visiting Victoria Chinatown was a reminder of the sacrifices that Chinese Canadians have made over the years, both in terms of building this vibrant neighbourhood and in contributing to Canadian society as a whole . It's important to acknowledge and honour these sacrifices, and to spread love and happiness among everyone in our community. I highly recommend a visit to Victoria Chinatown, not only for the delicious food and beautiful sights, but also for the opportunity to learn more about the rich culture and history of this important community.

Beautiful area, it's the oldest china town in Canada! Worth a visit, especially during cherry blossom season. Has many fun twists and alley ways to walk through.Visited onWeekend

I liked walking around seeing the street decor and suspended red lanterns. It's the oldest China town in Canada. It's a must see. Very nice Chinese shops and restaurants I like the Dragon an Fantan Alley
