Gordon's On Blueberry Hill

Beautiful view from the dinning area, attentive, helpful staff and excellent food. Chef/owner came out personally to check on dietary restrictions and made adjustments to order. Returned later to make sure everything was done to satisfaction. Good value for the money.

Over all a good experience! The decor and vibe on the outside of the building did not Match the inside fine dining vibe. We were confused and thought we were at the wrong place Overall good food and service! Seemed classic and a little old fashioned. I've worked at places like this. Friendly and very attentive staff. Meal was ok...felt like there was too much salt and not enough flavor. Had to ask for hot sauce. High price point when you include drink and app. Loved that they had bread for us. I probably wouldn't recommend it. It just wasn't my vibe or scene.

Excellent service! Unique atmosphere. Large portions. Fresh flavor. Best for a date night or celebration. $$$

A destination restaurant with out of this world food and service. Our four dinners were delicious and left us wanting more. If you ate on South Whidbey, Gordon's is definitely a must try place. You won't be dissappointed.

The evening started off rather poorly when the hostess declared that we would be assigned a table where ever we could be fit in (even though we had reservations) and I had expressed that I would not be willing to sit next to the noisy servers' station. Eventually, the table that was allocated to us was acceptable, but my food order was delivered to another table in error. They corrected this error in fairly short order. Since this was a birthday celebration, there was a complimentary desert - creme brulee. This was the worst version of a creme brulee that I have ever tasted, and was more like a tapioca pudding that you could find in a school cafeteria. My advice to the owners- if you want to provide a complimentary desert, provide something edible - otherwise stop the practice. Not everyone is impressed by a free BAD birthday desert. My advice of potential patrons - try Prima Bistro in Langley. It is heads above in the quality for the food, and for service - they really care!. Ambience is better at Gordon's but it does not make up for the poor food and a hostess who needs to practice her people skills.
