Great location at Hazeldean. Welcoming and helpful staff/management. Busy but not too crowded. Personal trainers are great and knowledgeable, I see Mike Level 4 trainer. I highly recommend him as a trainer due to his professionalism and ability to communicate his training knowledge -Explaining and showing how to do the exercise properly prior to you doing it. He watches your form during the exercise and also corrects your stance during the exercise being done if needed. Very happy over all with the experience at this location
Great gym and staff over all. Kept cleaner than other gyms I've been part of. Julia manager is the best. Always there to help. They have everything you could want and more. Lots of squat racks and smith machines as well as bench press. This is always a hardship at other gyms as they have limited numbers and you are always waiting. That's not the case here.
I went in to check the place out for the first time and had an amazing experience! Brenna gave me a tour and helped me set up a membership. She was fantastic! I also spoke with Peter, head of personal training, also amazing! They were both encouraging, enthusiastic and welcoming. Plus the location has a “Mind den”, if you have a busy like style or just need some quite space this spot is a total dream.
Very friendly staff. I signed up there recently, and dealt with several people, all of which were friendly, and made my sign up process easy. I was given a nice tour of the gym and even got a free workout to try it out loved it. Very big gym, lots of machines to chose from, solid equipment. If you're into squats/cleans/deadlifts and other power lifts, they have the weight plates that are coated in some sort of rubber and they have platforms in front of each rack where you can do your lifts.
It was my first time going to a gym and Sam was incredible help! He made our sessions really enjoyable, super informative and encouraging : I came to the gym to start a regular routine and he provided me with tons of useful information on how to get going and workout with proper form. If you're looking into one on one sessions with a PT I highly recommend Sam!
Ended up switching gyms bc of travel time, these guys made it way easier than expected. I’m used to a lot of haggling, not at all here. Aaron was extremely nice and helpful! Staff here genuinely just want to help and make sure everyone gets a good workout experience. If I ever live nearby again I’ll definitely be back. :
I recently signed on for 12 months of personal training with Robin and am very pleased to say it has been amazing so far! She is very experienced/knowledgable and has made my first month of training a very enjoyable and motivating experience. I am already seeing great results not only physically but mentally as well and I cannot wait to continue the rest of the year under Robin's coaching.
Awesome gym. I worked out here while on business trip, paying a drop-in fee and attending my fav BodyPump class. New equipment, good lighting, good atmosphere, very kind staff. I wish I could attend this gym more often.
Definitely the best GoodLife club in the city, everything you need under one roof.
This new eagleson location in Kanata is way too crowded. The machines are overused and it takes too long to get them fixed. They rarely put Kleenex boxes in the bathroom and some of their staff are useless. Some of their staff and trainers stand around doing nothing instead of advising their members on proper workout techniques and checking machines to see if they’re actually working properly. Also they have no paper cups for water so if you choke on your saliva or your mouth is dry and you forgot your bottle, you have to run to your locker, find some change to buy an overpriced water bottle. They’re cheaping out on everything. It’s a disappointing gym.
