Golden Palace Restaurant

My favorite Chinese food place. I love the fish tanks down through the center so there's booths on both sides. The food is always excellent and it's very decently priced. A tradition of ours is to go to the Indian Creek Winter Wonderland lighting of downtown then go to Golden Palace to warm up & finish off the evening with a scrumptious meal. It makes for an inexpensive fun night out just to go walk around Indian Creek during the holidays then go to dinner at Golden Palace. I highly recommend this place.

Just tried to go have a nice dinner with my boyfriend and it took a minute to get seated. Very unorganized. Lady came up to us all out of wack to take the order for our drinks. Then while we were waiting for our drinks and looking over the menus, there was a group of women fighting, cussing at each other less than five feet away from us. How trashy and unprofessional. We waited to see if it stopped. Nope, the bickering and cussing continued. Left a bill for our drinks and walked out. So disappointed. Never had a problem with this place til tonight.

First off we parked right in front by the door and there was a very sloppy looking women standing by the door smoking. She followed us in and took us to a table and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We both said maybe after we look at the menu because we didn't want someone that just smoked and didn't wash her hands getting us anything. The menus were dirty and the highchair they brought over for my daughter had food in it. The service was fair and the food was just okay. After we ate I went to the ladies room and it was disgusting and didn't have any saop in it. Finely after paying we walk out the door and the waitress we had was smoking too. I mean come on, you can't tell me there isn't a different place to smoke that's not right in front of the restaurant's front door. And to top it off, both my husband and I got sick before we even made it home. All and all, we will definitely not go back and wouldn't even recommend it to someone I didn't like.

Takeout Orange Chicken. I give 1 star for the food and an extra star for the friendliness of the gal at the counter. Also, definately not even close to enough orange sauce for the amount of dry chicken.

Fried rice was good. Pork noodles were very bland. Mushroom chicken had very little chicken and even less mushrooms, basically a plate of CELERY! Sad that it was hard to tell what was orange chicken sauce and what was mandarin sauce. Staff was nice but service very slow.
