I have been a few times and each time I go the food and atmosphere gets even better! This round I'm 5/5 starring this review because it deserves it. From taste, to presentation to service. It deserves a 5 star . Thanks for the delicious great food. Vegetarian options: The menu has more descriptions. Kid-friendliness: They allow children as it is a restaurant Parking: It's in a mini shopping mall. Many parking stalls. Wheelchair accessibility: It is all flat ground to maneuver around.
Oh. My. Goodness!!!!! If I could give them a 10/5 I would!! Come here when you have time, as it is a family run business you are getting the real deal. So if you’re in a hurry, please order take out and don’t leave a bad review. We all know there is a labour shortage everywhere, so let’s be patient! They work so hard and do such an amazing job! The food!!!!!! Wow!!! Everything was just so amazing!!! I just can’t say enough, so delicious, fun atmosphere and friendly place! Will definitely be returning!!!! Just sad I didn’t have room for dessert! I guess I’ll have to come back!!
Food was amazing. I never tried so delicious Mexican food. I am vagetarian and they had vagetarian options. Prices are reasonable to the portion size. Restaurant was very clean and servers were very polite and professional. I will totally go back.
As most reviews mention, the food is delicious but unfortunately the service is beyond slow or non existent. Had lovely experiences here last year, the servers were attentive and the food was delicious.. Well today we had reservations for 10 at 5:30 on a Tuesday, it was steady but not swamped and yet we had to practically beg to get service.. the waitress didn’t address the table for around 15 minutes and when she did, she asked to take food orders when we hadn’t even ordered our drinks. When we finally did receive our drinks and food they were good so at least the kitchen is doing something right. I had ordered a horchata near the end of our meal when the gentleman working cleared some plates, after waiting 30 minutes I asked about the drink and he told me he’d forgot. At this point the restaurant was quiet and closing, we were waiting again for our server to bring us our bills when she sat down to eat and browse on her phone. We chatted at the table to pass some time when eventually someone from our table had to walk over and interrupt her meal so that we could settle the bill. Just strange to have your server sit down for a full meal instead of waiting until the last table was settled and left. Hope you guys can make some customer service improvements, that makes or breaks an experience!
The food here is amazing. Tons of flavour and there really is something for everyone. We started with the queso/chorizo with home made chips and pico, which everyone at the table loved. We ordered a couple of the Golden Cactus molcajetes for the table and what a delight having the deliciousness sizzling away at the table. We tried the brisket tacos and birria tacos and those also blew us out of the park with flavour. The beef has a delicious depth of flavour and is amazingly tender. We finished with all the desserts which included pecan flan, chocolate flan and churros with Dulce de leche. I loved the pecan flan the most. We will be back!
I had heard wonderful things about this Mexican restaurant located on International Avenue and 52nd Street and wanted to make a point of trying it out. The waitress was very friendly and when I told her that it was my first time there, she smiled and highly recommended the Enchiladas. With such a ringing endorsement I absolutely went with her suggestion. I am glad that I did! They are excellent! The rice, salad and beans that they come with are amazing too! I appreciate that they automatically bring three different sauces to try on the Enchiladas too. It simplifies everything. They recently renovated there. It is a "come as you are" type of place so you can just relax and enjoy the flavourful experience. It is nice to see the high pride that the staff have in working there. Another great establishment on International Avenue!
Bright and open environment with music that will make you want to dance! I started with the Cantarito Paloma cocktail, perfectly sweetened with fresh muddled grapefruit slices and just enough tequila; I easily could have ordered another. I enjoyed the Carne Asada, a generous portion of grilled beef, tender and flavourful, served with Mexican rice, refried beans, guacamole, fresh salad, and six freshly made corn tortillas. Filling and delicious. I finished with the Churros; hot and fresh. Crispy exterior with a soft centre, drizzled with just the right amount of dulce de leche. For the price and genuine service you will receive, you can’t go wrong dining here.
Extremely fresh tasting, all the meat was cooked perfectly. This restaurant also has a great Mexican feel, reminded me of Mexico.Food: 5/5
If you like sea food OMG THE real shrimp cocktail was an original big lots of shrimp oo soo good just like in Mexico GDL. The Sea food Molcajete to die for OMG, a must try or do put it on you bucket list this is the best to die for so good.Food: 5/5
Epic place. The food was soo good probably my favourite Latin food in Calgary!!! This place is so low key but it’s also dope. The overall vibe is legit and the food was bursting with flavour. Highly memorable dinner I want to hit up this spot again! Do it up!!
