Glenhaven Memorial Chapel can trace its history back to the late 1920’s. The two-story structure was originally located at 1235 E. Hastings St., in Vancouver and was both a funeral home and Dr’s office. In 1954 Glenhaven reverted to its original purpose as a funeral home when George Martin & Leonard Black went into partnership in funeral service.
Our new funeral home is a full service facility, accessible to the physically challenged and is truly the envy of any community in the lower-mainland. Glenhaven features open space areas, natural light and a very impressive modern décor. The funeral chapel is one of the many exceptional features of Glenhaven Funeral Home, including a beautiful stained glass window depicting the Tree of Life. This window allows natural daylight to enter into the chapel which is inviting to everyone. The Chapel is suitable for smaller funerals as well as sufficient for the large services. Adjacent to the chapel is a large visitation suite which can also be used as a chapel for small intimate services or for those who would prefer solitude and privacy. This room can also be separated into two smaller suites for evening visitations.
