Glenda's Cafe

Ate brunch at Glenda's Cafe this morning, and it was EXCEPTIONAL. I went with a friend, and we were greeted warmly into the space. I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy, which was absolutely sublime. My friend, who doesn't eat meat, ordered the Eggs Benedict but asked if they could substitute the traditional ham for tomato. "No problem", our waitress happily replied, and her dish came as asked, with two glorious slices of ripe tomato under the perfectly poached eggs in place of the ham. Service friendly and attentive, atmosphere very cozy and tastefully decorated, the food to-die-for with an amazing homemade feel. The bill, WITH drinks, came to about $15 a head. And the drinks (I had a spicy Bloody Mary, my friend a Grapefruit Mimosa) were perfect. What. A. Joy. We will be back.

We can at 6 pm and asked for a table for 6. Whoever the waitress was she was so rude. She said that they didn't have a table for 6. The table that outside was reserved at 7, then she said we split up to a table for 2 and a table for 4, and then incredibly rudely "if you want to sit by the air conditioner" I have never witnessed someone so bad mannered. They don't want business. We walked down the street and went somewhere. Considering we just bought a new house on the lake, we will definitely will be letting others know NOT to go here

A small hometown diner with amazing food and friendly service. One of my favorite spots in the lake country area.

Terrific food and awesome homemade pies. Make reservations as it's a small place and very popular.

My wife and I stopped her for breakfast with our two daughters. The staff was very kind and reasonably attentive but the overall time of service was somewhat unreasonable. From order to food on the table was about 40 minutes for steak and eggs + an omlet. I had steak and eggs. The cut and temperature of my steak was great, but it left something to be deserved on seasoning. My hashbrowns also had sections that were charred.
