Nice restaurant.. look classy. Great food, friendly staff but quite a while to get our food. For the price, I think still reasonable. This is better than Earl in Whitehorse. We ordered calamari, steamed muscle and fettuccine for dinner.
I don’t often leave a bad review, but. Upon arriving to our reservation at 7:30 we were waiting in the lobby for 35 minutes before getting sat. The table had been sitting empty otherwise. When we were sat it took about 15 minutes for our server to come and drop off waters and plates. She walked away before we could get a drink order in and one of the members of our party had to flag her down to order. We ended up ordering everything all at once because by this time it was 8:30 and we had no drinks or food. The appetizers came out quite quickly but by 9:45 we had still not eaten and we had at least 6 empty drinks piled to the end of the tablepictured below. A member of the table asked to speak to management about the wait for our food and they said ‘yeah it’s ready it’s coming’. When they were setting down our food I had to ask them to actually clear the glasses so they could put the plate down. The manager or supervisor came over and gave us some wine but no apology, no reasoning, nothing. No water refills, no drink refills- super weird. We were really disappointed- a sorry goes a long way with bad service and as a server myself I just don’t think this is justified. The only reason I’m leaving two stars instead of one is because the food tasted good. I won’t be going back
After a long day of cancelled flights and frustrations I decided to check out Giorgios Cuccina, it was a great pick! Besides a small set back of waiting for someone to take my order waiter came and apologized for a mis-communication between staff on who would be attending to my table the food and drinks were delivered promptly, the food was delicious and well prepared, large serving of pasta and great dessert I had the penne asparagus and berry new york cheesecake. Overall great service and food and next time I am in Whitehorse I would eat there again.
Good Italian fare with an immersive atmosphere. However, the service was terrible and the waitress was very unfriendly when we tried to ask for extra plates and utensils. Would come back again for the food but definitely not the service
Service was very good, food was delicious, wait time for food was good too. A good meal for a good price. Artic char tasted very fresh and was full of flavour. Souvlaki was seasoned just right, absolutely enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the rack of lamb and New York steak. Definitely will be coming back here. The Saganaki was also very good.
Busy, even on a Tuesday night! We didn't have a reservation, but luckily there was a free table. Though it was a full house, the waitress was on point with making sure we had water; she also kept apologizing for the wait to order and to receive our food, but we didn't mind at all. Ordered the 8 oz sirloin and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The potatoes and veggies were tasty. Might have to return again during my stay in Whitehorse!
This trip was four days this time, and Giorgios was the best food I had this trip. Decent pasta, nice size glass of wine reasonably priced too. The service is slower than some places, but they were slammed, and it certainly wasn't unreasonable.Food: 4/5
Genuinely terrible service. Had a reservation for 730 and didn't get seated until almost 8. Server was nowhere to be found for most of the night and we had to literally track down the manager for service. Did not receive meals until 945pm and we had to go to the bar to get our own water and ask the expo to clear the empty glasses from the one time the server asked if we would like anything. The manager at one point dropped off some wine as her way of apology, but half the table was driving. A simple "sorry for the wait" would have gone a long way than acting like this is normal service . 3.5 hours at a restaurant for a mediocre steak is not my idea of a good way to spend a night.
Booked a reservation for 10 people at 7:30 on a Friday night. Arrived at 7:30 and waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged. Finally was sat at 8:00pm. Waitress came to drop off cutlery and water glasses. She took our drink orders at approx. 8:30. At this time we also asked to order our appetizers and mains. Appetizers came out at about 9:00pm. Waitress came by once to collect drink orders, but only asked half the table. At about 9:45, my partner and I asked the manager to cancel our orders. She assured us it was on the way. We waited another 15 minutes and our food arrived. The food was really good and the manager did bring us complimentary wine for the table. We had to ask for our table to get cleared. We were able to pay our bills and leave by approx. 10:45. As someone who waitressed for 10 years, I can understand things get backed up. However, we were abandoned by our waitress for a majority of our stay. I would be more understanding IF there had been some sort of communication or apology. There was neither. I would recommend going elsewhere if you cannot afford to wait 3+ hours.
Food was really good and for a good quantity. I can’t give more than 3 stars because of the incredible WAITING TIME. Arrived at 7:00, ordered at 7:15, served at 8 ! 2 plates of pasta. Then ordered the dessert tiramisu at 8:45 with a glass of wine. Served at 9:15 and they forgot the glass of wine in the counter for 15min. The restaurant was far from being crowded on this Wednesday night. In total we spent 2,5h there for 2 plates of pasta and 1 tiramisu. This birthday night was unfortunately a bit spoiled.
