Ginkgo is a middle of the road restaurant. The almond chicken was good. The chicken chow mein noodles did not taste fresh. I did get tasty beef there once but the noodles tasted like they were in the fridge too long and did not taste fresh. However if you get everything fresh made I'm sure it would be great.

Living in Chilliwacktried different restaurants. Finally found this wonderful restaurant where I could have traditional, large quantity and excellent quality Chinese food. Certainly some localized Chinese-Western food is not my style. But most traditional Chinese food I tested were very good. If you like the real taste of fresh stir fly food which is not too heavy and not too light, this is a must try restaurant.

Average at best. Typical greasy, over battered tiny prawns, dry chicken ball, Costco packaged sweet and sour sauce... Cheap tho

Hello folks. If you're reading this, then you're probably the type of foody that appreciates a factual and objective review. So, here it is. My family's Ginko "cuisine" journey began as any other typical take-out dinner, family night. Polite woman answered the phone. Various menu offerings. Orders promptly taken. This was followed up by a 50-minute delivery wait. So far, so good. We unpacked the iconic brown paper bag, still hot, and plated our dishes. Excitement filled the TV room. That's when things took a turn. A full blown U-forkin-turn. I'll make this next part quick, like ripping off the mother of all culinary bandaids. The lemon chicken was a pre-frozen, fryer-dunked, tasteless piece of crunchy cardboard. Nonetheless, it did result in some discernible flavour compared to what was to come. Oh, soy sauce. Our savoury and salty failsafe. Sadly, after a thorough dousing, it could not overpower the sheer tastelessness of the chow mein dish. Complete with pre-packaged shoestring carrots and onion, or complete lack thereof, and terribly bland bright yellow noodles. Yet, we forged on. I mean, we have seen worse. Haven't we? Next, we forked the "chicken chunks". Ghostly pale, semi-translucent meat shavings, a legitimate gelatin texture topped off the very real feeling of wet slippery rubber. Let's just save discussing the actual taste for another time. After glancing at one another with our "what just happened faces", I had to investigate this a little further. My sharp chefs knife did the trick. Sure enough, some of the slimy meat chunks had a raw pink center. Pink "chicken" chucks. Folks, you can't make this stuff up. We trashed the rest of the grub back into the brown paper bag. Vowing to never again, support a business that was charging legal tender for what was damn near inedible. I know what you're thinking, this review seems blunt, and perhaps harsh. I sacrificed valuable time to write this review not because of the price, or the quality, nor the presentation, and certainly not for other competitors. It was written because of a civic duty to the residents of this great city. Buyers beware - enjoy your Ginkos journey. I know I enjoyed mine, it took the top spot in the genre "horror story". Bon appetite.
