Youth unemployment is very high. Almost forced to use self-service..Hire some kids to work cash

On the bringing in the good bargains They are doing A top notch job, and kudos to them for installing the self checkout units, although it seems like there's still a fair sized line-up at the regular check outs !!! Needs MORE attention to the length of line up at the cashier, seem to think more people are using self check out than there actually is!

Staff are friendly, merchandise is tidy and properly tagged, selection is good. Parking can be tough once in a while but usually adequate. Check out times are efficient.

Yesterday I visited Giant Tiger Grocery Store at 2396 St.Joseph Blvd, Orleans ON and wanted to buy carrots 2lbs pack and Onion 2 lbs pack with price match with Food Basics Store but was denied on the ground that origin of the country from where Food Basics products were different than what they have. But in Giant Tiger price match policy nothing this short was mentioned. I thing some companies adopt this short of tacticis just to attractnattract customers in the hope that even they are denied price match, even then they buy something from thier store. In my opion this is very very unethical approach to increase thier sales.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Good selection of items. Prices are usually very reasonable. Always clean. No offensive odor.
