I absolutely hate this location for their self checkout. I understand you're trying to prevent theft. Either hire a security guard or have a cashier watch over the transactions happening. I shouldn't be waiting for 5 mins to checkout, when self checkout is an option. Keep them open or hire more staff.nnYou have the staff that's supposed to look after the self checkout fixing stuff at the front of the store. Why are they doing this? Shouldn't their main priority be to help during the rush? Train your staff. Disappointed.

Very large, clean and well organized store. Great deals to be found. First GT I have seen with fresh meat only section. Very respectfully in separating Kosher/Halal meats - even have frozen Halal/Kosher pizza!! Everything for the family and home. Service is friendly, though little bit slow at the cash! Would have like to have seen a couple more cashiers at checkout. There are staff throughout the store doing various tasks, so if you need help with something, it is not difficult at all to find someone. That is a huge plus. Excellent location, tons of parking. Wheelchair friendly, no stairs at all. #localguide

As a Canadian, especially recent immigrants, you MUST go shop there, in particular, the large head quarters store located just off Walkley if taking 417 HWY. It is filled with specials. Something for everybody. The employee culture there is much better that a larger store.

This new location is much bigger. Neat and well designed. They have very sophisticated self check out machines better than Loblaws. It was nice and easy to use and most Importantly, I was very happy to use them because I didn't have to deal with those old grumpy cashiers with angry attitude which was a big problem in the past with GT.nnUPDATE:nnWent there today and these guys are trying their best to keep the prices low amidst rising food prices. This is one of few businesses who really cares about the consumers and keep an eye on their prices. Not just advertise few items cheap and rip you off from other in-store high marks up item.

Bought a whole watermelon and opened it up and the white of it was all brown had to throw it into my compost. Very disappointed and dissatisfied with this. For the amount of money people pay for their food this shouldn’t happen. Anyways my neighbor came to my door with a fresh piece of watermelon that he didn’t purchase there.
