Giangelo's Pizzeria Italian Restaurant & Bar

My mom, sister and I decided to try this place out last Sunday and I must say it's one of our favorite restaurants now! We ordered the peppers & oil and the fried mozzarella for our appetizers which were both delicious! My sister and I both ordered the penne pasta with chicken in the spicy pink sauce and my mom ordered the lasagne (which I had to try a bite) and they were both amazing! As for our server, who I think his name was Sam, he was by far one of the best servers that we have ever had and we go to restaurants all over the place. He was not only charming but he made sure that our visit was absolutely perfect! If you are thinking about checking this place out, do it! It was an enjoyable visit and incredible food! All 3 of us left with smiles on our faces!

I visit family in the Youngstown area at least twice a year and I always look forward to dinner or lunch at Gia's. I absolutely love their delicious spaghetti and meatballs. This last visit we pulled into parking lot and discovered they were no longer at location (West Blvd and 224). So disappointed. We googled Gia's and learned they had relocated. We arrived at new location which is beautiful. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. Boy was I disappointed. Definitely not the same sauce and the meatballs were very different flavor and texture. Would probably not go back. I have certain restaurants I visit when I am in town. Gia's was my go to for spaghetti and meatballs so sad. Why change something that was the best.

Truly, some of the best Italian food in the Y-TOWN area. Pizza is superb! Very friendly, efficient bar personnel. Amber and Brandon are the best!!

Best local Italian food available! I love this place. I definitely recommend visiting. I can't recommend a specific dish because I've tried multiple and loved them all. I haven't yet visited their new location, but will update my review if my opinion changes post visit.

Quality of food has declined after Gia's moved to this new location. The Briar Hill pizza had sour sauce and the pizza shell was pre made. Was reported this to our waitress who told us they have new ovens. There are plenty of other great pizza places to go to here in Youngstown so it's not a big worry.
