The Georgian House Restaurant and Day Spa is housed in a building that dates back to 1858. It’s called The Georgian House because its design incorporates elements of architecture from the 18th century. The result is a building that with its classical columns on the porch outside, the elegant brickwork, and the high ceilings with their elegant plaster work, could serve as a set for a film of a Jane Austen novel. What now houses a restaurant, bar, meeting rooms and a spa, was once a family home. Until the 1940s Judge Costello lived here. His name lives on in the special dining and meeting room named after him: the Costello Room.
Today the Georgian House Restaurant offers three distinct dining areas with a capacity of 70 people, a lounge and a fully licensed bar. The Day Spa is fully equipped with an indoor therapeutic jet pool, steam chamber, tanning bed, balneo bath, esthetics room, massage room, and an outdoor hot tub. The Spa is the perfect recipe for a relaxing day or evening out.
Since the restaurants inception in 1987, Heinz Kaswurm, the owner of the Georgian House Restaurant and Day Spa and principal chef, hails from Austria.
