Gaya Sushi

Great sushi! My husband and I were out running errands and wanted to grab something quick to eat. We found this place by chance and are we ever glad that we did! We enjoyed it so much that we went back a few hours later to grab dinner and ordered more. We were very satisfied with their food. All the rolls were delicious. The fish tasted very fresh and good quality. This was way more than we expected from a 'to-go' sushi place. So glad to have found a good quality sushi restaurant on the island! We will be going back for sure.

Amazing sushi. It's so perfect. Order online and pickup 25 mins later. The sushi is so good. Salmon Maki - more fish than rice and so good Yam roll - atleast 2 inches wide full yam with some avocado Red dragon roll - spicy tuna on top with crunchy yam bits; inside stuffed full of crab and avocado Seriously, it doesn't compare to any sushi I've had in Parksville. So when I come to Nanaimo this is my go to sushi!!

Fresh delicious sushi with quick and friendly service. It's a quaint storefront that's more catered for takeout. I love their party trays, it's good quality and quantity for the price you pay. I'm not a fan of yam rolls and they've been quite accommodating in allowing changes to the rolls in their party trays as long as it was of equal or lesser value. Their chirashi don is also one of my favorites, simple but packed with delicious sashimi on top. Ordering online doesn't always work, but they often offer 10% off online orders! Love this new place, I keep coming back!!

The sushi is very good and the price is great. We order take out very regularly. Look no further you won’t be disappointed.

I called in and placed my order, which was ready when I arrived. The prices were a little high but not unreasonable in this day and age. The food was acceptable, I ordered 4items, but the only item I would reorder would be the yam tempura. The food looked and tasted fresh so will try Gaya again but will try different items.Food: 4/5

My new favorite! The gomae is the best I've ever had. Big portion and not salty. The yam roll is amazing as well as everything else. Super nice owners as well.

Excellent local sushi place run by very nice family. So lucky to have this place in North Nanaimo. Quick service and clean restaurant with quality sushi.

Amazing sushi, the BEST actually! Staff is amazing as well as prices! The kids and I are regulars now mmmmm so fresh and yummy in the tummy!! Must go here :

Absolutely fantastic, great service, the food was outstanding. Definitely would go again, we ate in this time but I would have no problem doing takeout. Highly recommend them.

This place was top notch excellent! Best sushi I have had. They are so passionate about what they do and it’s shows in their results! Will be back!
