Best ramen in town! The broth is rich and full of flavour. Noodles were cooked perfectly. They have a very generous portion so come hungry! Had some sushi to start and the rice was cooked perfectly and the sauces really complemented the different fish.

Sushi was really good. I like that this sushi restaurant was actually own by Japanese people. Had the ramen was good. Noodles  was cooked perfectly but the broth was salty

Always good, I've eaten here a fair amount and the food and service is always good.

After having ramen in Japan I have been trying to find ramen that compares to that experience.    After eating here I have found what I was looking for.   Thank you Bistro Taiyo.   The best ramen in Nanaimo.

As someone who has lived in japan before, I can honestly say that this restaurant is both authentic and delicious. It has  a very well curated menu with many interesting and amazing dishes. It is a must visit for anyone in nanaimo

First time there . I'm not a fan of sea weed they accomadted this by using soy paper instead . It was delicious.  Will go back again some day for sure .

Great food, great service, and reasonable prices. Feels like a special 'hole in the wall' type of place. We were coming through Nanaimo and I'd come back here for take out or dine in every time we come through.

By far the best sushi in Nanaimo! Got to try the crunchy Cali roll. 

What a fantastic restaurant. From sushi to salmon belly these guys make a varied selection of delicious and truly authentic Japanese food in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The service is also wonderful and we always feel very welcome back yes, we're return customers!!.

Staff was amazing and friendly. Food is fabulous, and the most similar to what I had in Japan that I've been able to find in years. Great service and they really entertained my toddler.
