Story

Richmond veterinarian Dr. Michael Charach established our hospital in 1981 and has been helping dogs, cats and their owners through preventative, curative and emergency veterinary procedures.

This year, Dr. Hsuan-hui Wendy Wang has joined the practice with a special interested in acupuncture. She is also one of the few Mandarin speaking veterinarians in Richmond.

Caring for pets is the life’s work of the professionals at Garden City Veterinary Hospital. Whether it’s a puppy, kitten, adult or geriatric, reptile, avian or exotic pet, we take pride in giving your pet the best treatment possible. Pet owners have learned that the doctors and staff at our hospital really do care.

We are extremely fortunate to have vets who specialize or have a special interest in many different areas of veterinary medicine. We specialize in Diagnosis, Surgery, Radiology, Dentistry, Dermatology, Senior Care, End of Life Care as well as Spaying/Neutering and Preventative Care, meaning that most illnesses or surgical conditions can be treated within our practice without the need to travel elsewhere.

2016年，王宣惠医生加入了我们的医疗团队， 她是列治文唯一提供普通话医疗服务的女兽医！王宣惠医师出生于台湾，小学以后就在温哥华学习、成长。在University of British Columbia (UBC)完成动物生命科学学士学位之后，即在Western College of Veterinary Medicine西部兽医学院，获得 Doctor of Veterinary Medicine 兽医临床博士学位。

王医师对小动物针灸以及中兽医领域投入甚深， 2016年底，即将在美国Florida佛罗里达州，取得猫狗针灸师的资格。

同时，自小移居加拿大的她，拥有优异的中文听、说、读、写能力，对于住在华人很多但是华人兽医稀少的列治文/里奇蒙RICHMOND还有温哥华的宠物主人，确是绝佳的福音！
