NEW ADDRESS!! 2856 W Broadway, Vancouver, BC V6K 2G7 - Bright, well laid out aisles, neatly stocked with various homewares and more than enough hardwares to do most home repairs and/or projects. But of course not for major renovations or decorating projects - for those you’d want to go to Home Depot, where I’d many times get bewildered and lost amongst all the variety and choice of items. Here, the staff is very friendly, helpful and indeed tries to understand what we laymen needs or wants to do, and show what all we need.I guess that since home hardwares are individually owned, that this is the big difference from the big box stores which caters to the trades and more professional carpenters, plumbers and electricians etc. Not particularly cheap but fair prices and welcoming for us amateur gardeners, home decorators and those forced to become their own handyman! By the way, this is their new location - I’ve gone to their west 4th location for years and was dismayed that I couldn’t find it recently!

Fantastically sorted - they WILL have what you need. Or get it for you. This is my first stop, before the big box stores. The staff is very knowledgeable and always available to help. Highly recommended.

I asked for help to get a torx screw driver and I showed them the screw I wanted to use it for. They gave me a wrong size tool and later did not let me return it. Also they didn't tell me it's non-returnable at the counter when I paid for it. That tool damaged the screws on my laptop and I had to take it to a repair shop to save my laptop. They wasted hours of my time, they were disrespectfull, impatient and treated me like a person who uses stuff and then returns them while I was going to buy the right tool after the return.

Great people here and pretty good selection. This is definitely the place I head to on the west side when I need some typical hardware goods. The staff is super friendly and helpful too.

Excellent service from Peter, Manager in choosing the right portable A/C, arranging with the handyman to install at the same time when he delivered to my home without charge. Thank you very much to Jeffrey and his wonderful staff.

Bought a lawn sprinkler here called " Home Gardner oscillating sprinkler "and when i tried it at home it wouldn't fan like it supposed to consistently. I tried another old one i had and it worked just fine. I tried to exchange it with a different model but they refused saying that it's a seasonal item and they can't return it even though i bought it less than 3 weeks ago and i had the receipt. I would ask this store before buying anything in the future if they guarantee products they sell & what is their return and exchange policy! And definitely will never buy this sprinkler model again

I would give this a 5 star review from past experiences, as the staff are always helpful, they usually have what I need, and I love supporting small local businesses. However, after buying a package of masks that were not approved by Health department, I realized it after going home and opening the package they didn't want to give me a refund or at least a credit. Very passive agressive young staff. For 20$ they lost a loyal customer.
