Galaxy Nails & Tanning

I have been going to this location for over a year. Have dealt with a few technicians. Joe was great. Very detailed and takes his time. Then I ended up switching to Mary who is amazing also. Very creative and always does a good job. The atmosphere is great. Very pretty and large. Prices are a bit high but I love Mary and the environment so I don’t care.

I went to Galaxy Nails a few weeks ago for my first time and all was good...so I thought. I didn't want to continue getting them done as i only wanted tips for vacation so I went to another salon to have them removed. I was told at Galaxy that what I had on were solar but when the other salon was trying to remove them it was nearly impossible. It was like they had put cement on my nails. I was at the salon for 3 hours and still the lady was not able to remove it all. I was told it was most likely a knock of solar and probably purchased in China or Korea and they had never seen this before. I am honestly beyond irritated. My nails are destroyed after only having them on for a month. I will never recommend Galaxy and I suggest you stay far away if you want to keep your nails.

I booked an appointment for myself and one other to have manicures and pedicures done yesterday at 2:30pm. When I arrived I was told that whoever booked my appointment hadn't put it in the system and they were too busy to accommodate me. As someone who works in the customer service industry, I am appalled at how I was treated at this location. I was told that I couldn't even reschedule for that day and would have to move my appointment to another day because of an error on their part. I did express that I didn't have another day to come because I am leaving on vacation early Tuesday morning. The answer I received from the young lady at the front desk was that she was new and in training so she couldn't help me and the manager was busy. I wasn't offered an apology or any sort of concern whatsoever. I have been getting my shellac manicures and pedicures here for a number of years and will never return. I have been and will continue to share my experience with everyone I know. Word of mouth can be detrimental to a business and it's a shame that Galaxy Nails on Wellington doesn't care to keep their customers happy.

I’ve been going to galaxy for going on 7 years with my mom and I don’t even know why because every single time I’ve left disappointed about SOMETHING. there are some good people there but the good ones are rarely available. The last time I went the nail tech cut me about 8 different times giving me a fill, causing me to bleed every time. Then she waxed my eyebrows (I’ve been getting my brows waxed for like 9 years) and she waxed in the wrong place clearly, too far down, and I now have a very noticeable bruise that’s painful as hell. It looks like I was punched in the face. In all the years I’ve been getting waxed, I never came out looking like I’ve been abused lol. It’s just getting worse there so I’m finally deciding after 7 years to take my business elsewhere. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Darlene made my first experience getting my nails done in a long time an amazing one. I'd definitely go back. Very clean and friendly service.
