They have all popular traditional dim sum and a lot of different type of sweet and savory buns. They also have some special dishes like beef tripes and goose feet. All packages have cooking instructions. The prices are reasonable. Restaurant quality. We like to buy these frozen dim sum and keep in the freezer. Most of them only need to steam 10 to 15 minutes. Whenever we feel like dim sum, we just need to take them out from the freezer and steam it then brew some tea to enjoy them at home.
2022 December 4 A small footprint shop selling dim sum in wall to wall freezers. Prices are relatively OK for the quality. Note that if your cautious of MSG, the Beef and Water chestnut balls #11, has it as part of the ingredients. Shrimp dumplings Har Gow #7 $4.99 6pcs Very good, though I find that the skin/wrapper could be a bit chewier. Taro Bun $5.20 6pcs Salted Egg Custard Bun $5.80 6pcs These were so so.. the buns were not fluffy. Would pass next time. Scallop Shrimp water chestnut #18 $4.99 5pcs This was good. Would get again. Glutenous rice #1 $4.80 4pcs Flavorful, though some might say a bit salty. Made using minced meat as opposed to traditionally chopped meat - softer overall. It was OK. But other places are better. If you haven't tried, worth trying. Cash or debit over $20 Free parking in the plaza.
It was super busy here on Saturday mid-aftenoon, a constant stream of people coming in and out. I think most of the customers are returninf customers, cuz they aren't browsing around like me who was there for the very first time. They all seemed to know what they came there for, so they just grabbed what they wanted and lined up for the cashier. Even though there was only one cashier, the line was super fast. Cash only unless you're buying more than $20. In addition to dim sums, they also sell traditional birthday buns longevity peach buns, wontons, premade meals. I'm very impressed with their collection of frozen foods.
Pretty solid selection and the food was much better than I thought given it was frozen. The baos all maintain a fluffy texture without being salty, which is delightful, and the flavours are all quite good, all things considered. I'm now excited to try more of their non-bao options in the future. This could change the game of dimsum forever... Only accepts cash and debit over $20.
Dim sum items are generally good tasting. However, since I tried the 'Preserved Olive on Meat cake $6.90, it is bland and tasteless - a dish that should be super delicious with liquid sauce. The minced meat used is with unchewable veins and tendons parts. Had to throw out 3 third away. Minced meat should be of the meaty kind and tender. Super disappointed. I guess their dishes are off my radar.
Good quality dimsum for okay prices. Used to be cheap but price has gone up significantly in the last few months. Photo prices are as of Dec 28, 2022.
Nice substitution during COVID for in person dim sum. Got all the normal fixings. Lineups can look long on a weekend but it moves along quickly. Bbq pork buns r delicious!!!
My goto place for frozen dim sum. It has a wide variety of different dim sum. Siu ma and beef balls are my favorites. Also bought radish cake, taro cake, water chestnut cake and special 5-spices duck to celebrate lunar new year. Got a free shopping bag from them too.
They are so yummy. I like to cook at home too because I can make them very hot and more tasty.
I agree with other reviewers. Since the pandemic prices have sky rocketed for dim sum so this is a more economic way to get dim sum. Though not everything is here. I bought the sui mai and chicken sui mai with mushrooms, har gow and foong jow chicken feet. So no photos of the sui mai as I haven’t eaten it yet. They are so popular there is one north of 16th ave in Markham now. 2 locations to serve you! Anyways there are few competitors out there so I do plan on checking them out too.
